The blender is producing a standstone tablet app, which developed an initial test version to launch at the App Store for Apple Pencil -Support iPad Pro Models. The company later plans to increase the availability of Android devices and other graphic pills. Blender has also shared the app’s preliminary design previews. The company plans to bring its 3D modeling and animation tools used on traditionally large screens to more portable platforms.
Blender for tablets: How will it be?
In a blog post on the blender website, 3D modeling and animation software maker revealed that it is currently developing a dedicated standalone app for tablets. It will focus on devices like Apple iPad, Microsoft Surface, Huawei Met Pad, and Wakum Moonic Pad, and others. Since the company has revealed its intentions, consumers may soon have access to it. The company said it wants to bring the “full power” of the software to the smaller screens.
The company noted that it would have to increase the current input methods, improving the application templates, which will eventually run on the “regular blender”. The app will be tested on the variations of the iPad Pro with the first Apple Pencil Support, and will then be released to Android and other graphic tablets. The company has indicated that the iOS version of the app may come with air drop support.
With the “Blender on Tablet” app, the company will meet artists who need painting, sculpture, 2D animation, artists who use tablets as their main device, and need styles for specific tasks such as Blender Artists.
In the upper part, the blender has highlighted that it will have to overcome many challenges to bring the app to the aforementioned devices. The company said there are software and hardware limits such as single and full screen window workflow, small screen real estate, keyboard and mouse deficiency, numerous input methods such as touch and stylus, and limited processing power and battery on tablets.
