T-Mobile satellite service is now available to people all over the United States-and not only T-Mobile users. On Wednesday, T -Mobile CEO Mike Seyurte announced that the star -powered service is officially out of the beta, although it only supports text messaging and location sharing.
The new satellite coverage option is called “T -satellite”, and is currently available as a standstone subscription. This is being offered at $ 10 per month for “limited time” before increasing $ 15 per month. This carrier’s MONTH 100 is included for consumers on every month’s experience or more than G5G projects.
If you are in an area that does not have cellular coverage, your device will automatically connect with the TT satellite. Unless there is cloud coverage or huge amounts of trees that prevent your sky’s view, you should be able to send and receive text messages, including on 911, as well as a link that temporarily tracks your location. The T -Mobile Support Page says the ability to send images is available on “most” Android phones, and the company plans to add support for more devices soon.
The purpose of T -Mobile is also to enable voice messages and eventually allow devices to connect “satellite optimized” apps, which he had earlier said that they could include all trails, ecovir and WhatsApp. More than 650 starlite -satellite satellites used by T -Mobile cover the US, Hawaii, parts of South Alaska, and Puerto Rico. The carrier says it is also working on a satellite communication offer in foreign and international waters.
Apple currently offers the ability to send text and emergency messages from the iPhone 14 and later for free, but it eventually plans to charge for it (there are still no details at the price). Google also includes a satellite SOS feature in Pixel 9, which is free to use for two years after activation. Although it may be useless to sign up for a satellite service via T -Mobile, the carrier provides support for more phones, and also plans to add new abilities such as image and sound messaging.
You will need to have an open device with support for Esims and Satellite Connectivity. Right now, more than 60 different phones can use TT satellite, including the iPhone 13 and more, Google Pixel 9, and Samsung Galaxy 21 and New. You can see the full list of qualified devices on the T -Mobile website.
