The zoner studio is just windows that include both photoshop and light room-as much as not powerful (though many of the regular updates are changing it), but a good entry level/intermediate photo editor and organizer that comes at a reasonable price.
The company says that after the recent name change from the zoner photo studio X to the zoner studio, to reflect the wider use, the company says, I took the latest version for the spin to see how it measures how Adobe’s best photoshop replacement.
Zoner Studio: Pricing and Planning
Zoner Studio is available for monthly membership of Monthly 5.99, or $ 59. A family plan, which has the same domestic two or more users to use the app, is available for $ 9.98 a month or $ 98 98 a year.
For me, pricing here is a big plus. There may be no free version available (though it has a welcome free trial), but the cost is low, especially when Adobe apps compared to the creative cloud sweet. If you are familiar with photo editing software, you will not have any problem with visiting the zoner studio. And, if you are not, it’s not particularly difficult to know – to me, this is a part of the app’s appeal, which is welcomed by new users who want to work more with their photos.
The main part of the screen is dedicated to your selected icon, with the files and folders below, which can be scrupted through your mouse. It is a good touch, making the navigation so easy.
Where there are five options on the right side of the new user screen. Manager, Development, Editor, Print, and Video (Well, they are the last two themselves). Therefore, a little research will not be wrong – the zoner features at least non -destructive modification, which allows you to experience with new tools without irreparable modification to the original file.
Basically, the manager is to manage and tag photos. The development zoner is the tech on light room, where you can edit raw images, and the editor is for all other occasions you want to make your media, such as adjusting color temperature, or sharpening images. All of this is well laid and it is usually easy to find what you are looking for – and most options are copied to the menu along with the ribbon, which depends on what mode you are in.
Zoner Studio: In use
The use of zoner studios is not particularly difficult, but if you are new to image editing, if you are looking at the sheer amount of options available here, it may still feel a bit heavy. I would also advise the early to rotate on the side panel icons – there is a lot here, and they are not particularly intuitive, so shaving your mouse will provide each name and brief detail.
Your photos appear automatically in the zoner, as the file is on the left side of the screen (there is a ribbon as well as an import function, but I never needed to use it). They will appear on the timeline at the foot of the main panel. When you have chosen your image, it can then be edited and adjusted by the editor tab.
All familiar tools are here, from crops and rotation to water marks or directional blurry. As expected, then, there are piles of tools to toll with the exposure (shadow, vice versa, and so on), white balance (temperature and tint), and color (like saturation). I also like adding a tone curve, as you will find in the light room, to light or darker an image, or find a search for specific colorful channels.
There is also a quick modification option, which sets up a panel with basic tools that mostly use photographers and designers without the need to rotate through the menus. The modification process can be further smooth with the likes of Quick Fix and the ideal for social media, Quick Filters. All this work immediately, just one press of the button.
The software includes some AI -powered tools, all of which provide good results effectively. It also includes AI masking, which is found in the development tab. Its choice gives you the option to automatically select the zoner selecting the topic, background, objects, or sky -fine toning. Everyone wishing to smooth the workflow, this has tools using it, and I was happy with the speed and accuracy here.
One of the standouts for me is the AI background removal, which is usually found. Once completed, I can then add a color background or make transpossations in other images. Occasionally, this process removed the elements of the article of the image – usually when it is on the background of the deep or similar color – but overall, I had no serious complaint with the device to remove this one -click background.
Perhaps the biggest problem, at least for those who want to remove the switch from Photoshop, lacks support for .PSD files. Instead, the software uses its own .zps files, which work practically with layers and effects. But there is no way to import or export photoshop files in the app.
Overall, Zoner Packs the Studio Photo Editing Lo tools tools. If you are new (and if you are familiar with any excellent photo editor, it’s not time). But if you do not need .PSD file support, especially the price like here, here.
Should I buy a zoner studio?
If buy it …
You are new to photos editing: If you are new to editing photos, this is a great place to start but you want a good amount of powerful tools to perform the best in your photos.
You don’t want to spend much: Zoner studio is much cheaper than Adobe Photoshop or similar pro grade packages.
If not buy it …
You want a basic app: If you are just looking for crops to crop or brighten, you will find many other options that will not be overwhelmed.
You want a professional level app: Similarly, if you want a pro -level software that offers the best results, you will get better results than the choice of Photoshop and Lightroom.
