    For many years there have been links between our diet and mood. You may have heard of the gut brain axis, which is linked to our digestive health as to how we feel mentally. Although regular exercise is highlighted for the benefits of enhancing its mood, and we have experienced many running shoes to help you start, but sometimes the diet can be ignored.

    A new study published in the Journal of Psychiatry and Clinical Neuro Science suggests that after a Japanese diet, the symptoms of depression can help reduce the symptoms.

    Found what the study

    The study saw more than 1,700 Japanese adults in the three -year timeframe. Researchers gave the participants a diet score, based on how closely they followed the traditional or modified Japanese nutritional style.

    Both styls emphasize eating such as fish, vegetables, mushrooms, soy, marine riders and green tea, while restricting red meat and sugar drinks. The modified diet contains full or minimal processed grains in the white rice space, introducing fruits and milk products, and emphasizes low sodium intake to increase its overall nutrition profile.

    The results show that people with high diet scores have reported less signs of depression. Interestingly, the advantage shows how the participants followed the permanent behavior of the overall, even if their diet was not perfect.

    How can you sprinkle some of the Japanese -style diet

    Although this study was based in Japan, it is highlighted how a balanced, nutritious diet can help reduce the symptoms of depression. This is not about changing your entire diet overnight, but only adding oil fish, leafy vegetables, fermented soy products such as measles, and marine riders, while processed breakfast, sugar drinks and red meat.

    Diet is a very personal thing. For a person who does good work may not be in accordance with the other, especially if you have the goals of allergies, health conditions, or specific nutrition. If you are not sure what changes are right for you, it is better to talk to a registered dietary or health care provider who can offer personal advice.
