Best Android phones for 2025

Processor: Google Tancer G4 | Display: 6.3 inch Super Activa, up to 120 herts | Camera: Back array (with 50MP wide, 48MP ultra -wide macro focus, 48MP 5x telephoto lens), 42MP double PD selfie front camera with autofox | Battery: 4,700mah
Finally, a small pixel pro. Google’s Pixel Series has long been one of the best Android phones, with the Pro Model High Version. But it was always a little big and very burdensome for those of us who have small hands or want our phones to fit in our pocket. Pixel 9 Pro Qi Qi, which is the Litler version of Pixel 9 Pro XL. Instead of a relatively large 6.8 -inch screen on her older siblings, the standard pro has a 6.3 -inch display, which is easy to penetrate. No need to worry more about leaving your Pixel Pro, just because you’re walking around trying to reach the upper part of the screen!
Until now, with Pixel 9 Pro, Google has not sacrificed any important feature to reach the smaller size, meaning you will get the same camera setup and performance in both handsets. Only the real differences are the screen size, battery and charging speed, as the non -XL model recharges a slightly slow rate. But the Pixel 9 is too longer than the XL, which is marking our battery test for about 25 hours.
Putting aside aside, Pixel 9 Pro Lineup is our favorite Android phone because of its high -performance camera performance, interesting AI features and generally increased web. Although the flagship of the previous pixel was colorful, block design that felt fresh, this year’s devices make solid and better. And, dare to say that we say, almost like i phones. Without a camera bars, it would be very difficult to tell them other than Apple’s phone.
Possibly because it has grown so big over the years, but the price of pixel phones is now like iPhones. Pixel 9 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro start from $ 999, and although some of us have come to think of Google’s handsets as a more competitive price option, this year’s model may be good enough to justify a premium price. If you still want something from the Pixel 9 Family but don’t want to pay $ 1,000, the base pixel 9 is still a solid handset for most people. But as it stands, Pixel 9 Pro can buy the best Android handset money. – Cherlin Lo, Deputy Editor

Processor: Google Tancer G4 | Display: 6.3 inches 1,080 x 2,424 polyed, up to 120 herts | Camera: Back array (48MP wide, 13MP ultra wide), 13MP front camera | Battery: 5,100mah
Pixel 9A is not particularly shiny and has no special features that are not available to more expensive siblings than ever before. In fact, it is actually low in charge and loses support for some Google’s home ground software such as screenshots app. But for everyone who just wants a solid design, an excellent screen, excellent camera and a simple phone with strong battery life, it is really difficult to beat Pixel 9A. So when it is not a super fancy, the phone covers all its important bases (and then something). But most importantly, starting only 9499, this phone feels like an incredible contract that is more good than its price. – Sam Ruder Ford, Senior Reporter

S25 Ultra is a working phone. It has a wide range of camera that has a new 50 megapixel sensor for 5x telephoto lens and its ultra -wide shooter, a beautiful 6.9 -inch emulated display (which is 0.1 inches larger than last year) and of course Samsung Samsung’s signature pen. That said, for 2025, Samsung’s real focus was on its better Galaxy AI features, such as a briefing, which produces a personal feed of news, events and more. There is also a drawing assist that makes it easier to make AI inflatt art, or you can turn to AI Select to help take screenshots, convert videos into GIFS or summarize stories.
Unfortunately, in addition to a new Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, the S25 ultra does not come with a ton of new hardware compared to its predecessor (or S23U for this matter). So when Samsung’s latest flagship is a great phone, it does not feel that for people with flagship device it does not feel like a necessary upgrade that is only one year or two years old. – Mr.

Processor: Snapdragon 8 Elite | Display: 8 inch 2184 x 1968qxga+ dynamic AMOLED 2x full display, 6.5 inches 2520 x 1080fhd+ dynamic AMOLED 2x cover display | Camera: Rear Sarney (200 MP Wide, 12 MP Ultrawide, 10 MP Tele Photo), 10 MP Front Camera | Battery: 4,400mah
The biggest problem with foldable phones is the extra size and weight that often comes with elastic display. Samsung has said that one thing of the past on the Galaxy Z Fold 7, which plays both the big screens both inside and outside, is 26 % thinner than ever. And as it was not enough, Z -Fold 7 also includes better stability, efficiency and a new MP camera of 200 MP, which you meet with traditional flagship smartphones. The main downward is that at $ 2,000, it is still cheaper and for the long time for Samsung fans, the loss of S pen support can be a deal breaker. But for those who want to experience new heights in foldable phone design, the Galaxy Z Fold is a masterpiece of 7 modern gadget design. – Mr.

Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite | Display: 6.8 inch OLED, 120hz, 4,500 nuts maximum shine | Camera. Battery: 6,000mah
Although OnePlus 13 includes some basic AI features, such as Google’s Circle Two Search and Gemini Assistant, it is really just an old -fashioned flagship. The reason is that instead of focusing on machine learning, OnePlus reduced the phone with a ton of top number hardware. It plays a 6.8 -inch OLED display, with an incredible peak brightness up to 4,500 knots. The OP13 Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Chip as well as 16GB RAM and 512 GB storage also offers excellent performance. There are also three 50-MP cameras, one of which is a 3X telephoto zoom and a large-scale 6,000 mAh battery that is practically larger than you get in all its rivals.
One Plus also did not reduce the design of the phone, as the OP13 still comes with the company’s signature alert slider. In addition, if you choose blue or white colors, you will find a sustainable and highly touching wagon leather waist that helps the phone stand in all your glass brick rivals. But the best thing is that starting at $ 900, its price is less than Galaxy S25+.

What to find in the new Android phone
Efficiency
When it comes to choosing our favorite Android phones, the important things we look for are very straightforward: good performance (both computes and AI), an excellent display, solid design, sharp camera, sharp battery life and ongoing software support. For performance, not only do we see benchmarks and other matrix, but we also review the phone on the basis of response. Regardless of whether you are reading, text messaging, scroll through social media or playing a game, no one wants a gadget that feels slow.
Display
When it comes to display, we usually prefer OLED panels that can produce at least 600 nets rich, saturated colors, though many of our medium distance and high -end phone can kill 1,000 nuts or more. And recently, most of our favorite devices also support screens with a sharp refresh rate of 90Hz or 120Hz, which increases an additional level of ease and flow.
Design
Now we will acknowledge that when you decide which phones look excellent, it has a bit of subjectiveness, but there are other aspects of the design, such as dust and water resistance or screen stability that can make a big difference in long -term survival. It is also important to consider things like wireless charging, power sharing (AKA reverse wireless charging) and support for UWB connectivity, which may affect how your phones interact with your other devices.
Camera
Obviously, we are looking for colorful, colorful shots in both bright and low light conditions. And we want video clips with high dynamic range, rich audio and smooth image stability. Extra cameras for ultra -wide and telephoto lenses are a plus. The best cameras should include dedicated night methods, support for various video recording resolutions, and features such as extra photo mode, such as time lips, slow pace and more.
Battery and software
Finally, in the case of longevity, we are looking for a battery life all day on the devices that have also presented great results on our local video roundown test (at least 16 hours charge, but more clearly better). Over the past few years, the capabilities of wireless charging have become almost everywhere, and most of our top lunches have an additional benefit. Fast charging is also available on some Android phones.
