Garman Phoenix 8 and Garman Farroner 970, in my opinion, two excellent Garman watches are available, and I like to test both of them during my marathon training.

They are equipped with the same features to help you detect and improve their training, and are proud of the best class navigation tools as well as useful smart and activity tracking features.

There are some important differences between them, especially in their design, price and battery life, which will be the key to choosing them.

    You can like

I have worn each one for months at a time as my central sports watch, and compared to Phoenix 8 and Farooner 970 directly at the same time with a week. Here are the key things to consider whether you are choosing among them.

German Phoenix 8 vs German Farroner 970: Price

Garman Farroner is 970 new clock, which launched in May 2025, and costs 9 749.99 / £ 629.99. There is only one model of the clock that has a 47 mm case that comes in three colors – black, white and brown/gold.

On the contrary, there are many watches in the Garman Phoenix 8 range. There are three sizes-43 mm, 47 mm and 51 mm-and the screen’s two options-mold and memory in the pixel, later there are solar panels around the clock face.

Phoenix was launched on August 8, 2024 and is a more expensive watch. It costs $ 999.99 to 9 1199.99, depending on what model and size you choose.

For the purposes of this article, I am mostly going to focus on Foenix 8 Amold 47mm Watch, which is a direct comparison to Garman Fortoner 970.

If you want a solar watch or a large or small device, then the Phoenix 8 range has covered you, while you do not get those options in advance 970.

German Foenix 8 vs German Farroner 970: Design

The designs of Phoenix 8 and Farroner 970 have some common elements, both round watches, including 1.4in emulated display, built -in flashlights and five buttons.

The screen is slightly bright than the screen phoenix 8 at 970, however, and this design is quite thin and light from Phoenix 8, which I have made more comfortable to wear 24/7.

Although the benefits of the Blackier Phoenix design are. It is more durable, with a large metal bezel and metal waist – in advance 970 has titanium bezel but the case is otherwise plastic – and Phoenix is 8 more water proof, of which 10 ATM ratings are for 5 ATM predictions 970.

Phoenix 8 is also submerged at a depth of 40 meters, and has a leak -proof buttons that feel slightly different from those present at 970, which is more clicking.

Farooner 970 comes as a scratch resistant sapphire crystal display standard, but to get it you need to choose a more expensive model of Phoenix 8. The base model has a steel bezel with a glass display, which has titanium bezel and sapphire crystal display with a sapphire model.

Both watches have a mic and speaker, Garman’s latest Elevate V5 Optical Hart Rate sensor, which I find in my test, and offers multi -band GPS tracking.

When it comes to design, every watch is the profession and the profession. Phoenix 8 looks better in my opinion, and is more durable, but the Farooner 970’s sleek design makes it more comfortable and it fits better on thin wrists.

There are minimal differences in sports tracking and training analysis on both watches, and both will be kept latest with new features in the software update for the future, as they are the latest models within their own limits.

One difference is the scuba diving (single gas) and apnea diving modes available on Phoenix 8, and also has a depth app. If you are a diver, it is clearly going.

I have traveled hundreds of miles with both watches, and both have been reliable to track heart rate and GPS during my testing. Both of them are as good as sports watches get track of tracking and analysis, and they have nothing to divide it on the front.

Garman Phoenix 8 vs German Farroner 970: Battery Life

Phoenix 8 predicts a better battery life than 970, especially if you choose one of the large 51 mm or solar charging model, but when comparing 47 mm Phoenix 8 is predicted by 970.

Most of my use I had always set the display with both watches, and I used them to track them daily runs and other exercises. Farooner 970 lasts me for four or five days, and Phoenix 8 lasts me for six or seven days.

If you have arranged the screen to get up, the two will stay longer and the distance between them increases. Both are long -lasting for Amolded watches, but Phoenix 8 wins in this battle.

German Phoenix 8 vs. German Farroner 970: Decision

To me, the light, thin design and low price of Garman Farroner 970 makes it a better option, and this is what I get, especially when I don’t need the extra battery life you get on Phoenix.

However, Phoenix 8 has some different benefits such as the battery life, and the design is more premium and dirhams, which may be enough to pay you extra cost if you have no objection to wearing a big watch.
