Two important events this summer indicate that a very competitive fall is likely in the smartphone world. Apple reported its Q3 revenue on July 31, a few weeks before Google took the stage on August 20 to announce a pixel 10 and a new foldable.
Do not disclose every detail about what these moments are coming, but they will give strong indications about how both companies plan to counter this fall. For Apple, the Q3 revenue call will be final before the iPhone 17 revenue appears. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gorman, it means that analysts will be focused on Apple’s AI’s efforts, possible changes in the supply chain, and the next batch of hardware – including the company’s first foldable iPhone.
There may also be questions about Apple Intelligence and are the company’s AI features on the way to launch this year. Google already moving forward with its gymnasium platform, Apple faces a growing pressure to show that it can still provide AI’s powerful features, preferring confidentiality and on -device performance.

Google Pixel 10 The incident, which is happening just three weeks later, will give the company a moment to the spotlight. Although it will be 10th phone in the Pixel Line, the brand’s original 10 -year birthday is not up to 2026. Nevertheless, this release is expected to bring new hardware design and deep AI integration-especially in areas such as image processing, sound interaction, and task automation.
Google will also debu a new foldable Pixel 10. It is expected to include design improvement and improved occupation, which aims to bring it closer to the experience offered by Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Apple’s rumor foldable iPhone. Both new foldables are expected to take higher price tags, and raise questions about whether the premium features will be sufficient to transfer buyers.
With only weeks of these events, the stage is being set up for a direct comparison. Google begins in August, but Apple usually dominates the conversation by mid -September. Both companies are counting on AI and the next general hardware to distinguish themselves-and both face the challenge of appearing consumers to upgrade the cool market in recent years.
Whether it’s AI, Foldable, or traditional flagship, Fallphone wars are about to begin. The real question is, are your pockets ready? I know that when it comes to choosing my next smartphone purchase, I have to think a lot about it.
