I rarely sleep at the same place at the same time, so I am a great fan of the portable All -In One projector. They are small and quickly configured, which makes them ideal for van life, gaming parties, outdoor movie nights, or evening on the sofa – but they usually sacrifice quality for convenience. The new Niblla X1 projector has promised to produce incredibly bright and colorful 4K image with excellent sound while remaining portable and quiet.

Generally, if the portability is at the top of your desire list, the quality of the sound and the image will be damaged. Prefer the cinema experience and you are watching an expensive, lighting, noise device that requires a permanent space inside the domestic theater. During a month of testing and watching the endless firmware, the Nebula X1 did a great job of killing the right balance with the trading office, fulfilling the promise of the sword.

But with a price starting at $ 2,999, or a kit, starting at 9 3,998, which includes highly recommended satellite speakers, this is not cheaper. And for the entire bundle, nearly 25 pounds (11.3kg) – the Nebula X1 is much more capable of portable.

    • Big and heavy for portable

The Nebula X1 is a 3500 ANSI Lemon Triple Laser 4K projector with four integrated speaker sound systems. It operates Google TV so you get a built -in chrome cast, Google Assistant, and a government net flix app (unlike many in one -in -one projector), which includes a pair of USB and HDMI 2.1 ports (an auxiliary ERC) to connect your favorite game console or media drive. A satisfactory, residue handle pops up with a push to make 13.7 pounds (6.2kg) projection unit portable.

There is a long list of features that make X1 unique for portable projector:

    • An all -glass 14 -element lens that will not be yellow over time, riding a 25 -degree motorcycle mechanical sword, which avoids inferior digital tricks by increasing the placement options.
    • Liquid cooling that eliminates the noise except everyone.
    • In conjunction with the optical zoom 0.9: 1 to 1.5: 1 throw ratio gives you giant images, when kept close to the screen compared to ordinary projectors.
    • The 200W sound leading to the class includes the highly recommended 80W battery -powered, water -based, Wi -Fi -connected speaker.

Note: I tried my best with the pictures, but they could only estimate the brightness, color and vice versa seen with the naked eye.

This 32 -inch YouTube image, which was predicted on a spoonful of folding IKEA table, was actually very bright. Thomas Recker / The Photo of the Verge

This large image was able to see the mid -day even when the floor wall was seen on the Alr screen along the wall of the roof windows. Thomas Recker / The Photo of the Verge

To find the maximum screen size on this white wall, X1 struggled at times, and during my month testing, providing close to a dozen firmware updates. Thomas Recker / The Photo of the Verge

I’ll just say: X1’s image quality is unparalleled for a projector going to anywhere. Its 3500 ANSI Lemon Output is better than many home theater projectors, which can allow it to create a clear picture in a challenging environment that does not have any optical distortion. It seemed great when the painted walls, traditional white matt bridge downdown screen, a brown -colored light rejection (ALR) screen, and a small folding iKEA tabletop were tested in different conditions of lighting.

The X1 will try to balance the colors dynamically and the surface on the surface. Mostly it works, but the colors, especially the red, are more saturated than the box, which causes the face of the Guyanath Peltro, especially on my ALR screen. The sprinkle offers plenty of manual overrides to dial in the exact picture that you prefer with just a few minutes of work.

The X1 lemon count made comfortable views in the spaces filled with lightning. Sometimes, I found the syllable Too brightEspecially when the whole light was focused on a 32 -inch manuscript on the IKEA panel on the IKEA panel from only five feet (about 1.5 meters) away. Fortunately, you can manually reduce strength and iris settings to dimming the picture. The leading brightness of this class makes the HDR10 and dolby vision support more than just check marks on the sales sheet-the script is mostly accurate with the opposite, but it is still a DLP projector, so don’t expect real calls. If you have a DLP 3D glasses (I haven’t tested it) then X1’s lemon count should also be done with 3D.

The auto -placement feature takes about 20 20 seconds to scan the area before choosing the best location. Thomas Recker / The Photo of the Verge

The X1 found a great fit on this folding IKEA table at about 90 90 % of the time, which always offers quick manual overloads to adjust. Thomas Recker / The Photo of the Verge

The important thing is that for the portable, the Nebula X1 includes the features of all the automatic space you expected. These include automatic focus, stone correction, and obstacles, as well as automatic color adaptation to improve paint or material -colored icons used on the projection surface. They can be manually triggered by the device, the nebulla app, or the remote control, or is designed to engage in the startup and when the projector is transferred.

Auto -Fox worked 100 pressants at that time, while when there was a clear border, the features of automatic placement worked well. When an empty white wall was predicted, I had to manually fix the edges more often.

Startup is relatively fastened faster. You can start visiting Google TV in just 45 seconds from a cold boot, or in just a few seconds when resumed from standby.

Here is also a “extreme” game mode that disables digital stone correction and movement so that the processing of this background can only be done at a speedy response. The comfortable game of a casual game is something that you get used to quickly. I can confirm, bundle mics, entertaining for the nights of the karaki.

The legs can be folded down and a flap USB-C charging port protects from dust and rain. There is also a tripod mountain. Thomas Recker / The Photo of the Verge

Sound is the killer feature of X1. Even without satellite planets, the sound is clean and delayed and easily fills a room. Directly from the central unit, the low delay 5.8GHz Wi -Fi connects to an optional battery -powered satellite speaker to another level.

Satellite starts automatically on startups and convert four X1 internal speakers to temporary sub -woofers, while each satellite’s three speakers centers, up and side channels. The resulting sound skype is wide and impressive and is quite loud enough for a group to enjoy the outside sound – as long as you have a neighbor residence. There is also a “Bluetooth speaker mode” that closes the projection lamps to play music with a large, rich, hot audio with plenty of audio. I have used this feature several hours a day that helps to maximize the price.

With the rejection of the audio, the projector is largely silent thanks to its liquid cooling. The fans kicked on a particularly hot day of testing, but I could barely hear it (only 26 db measurement from a distance of 1 meter) on a regular dean of a room or a falling waves.

As expected, X1 did not fulfill the promise of 4.2.1 shattered. I struggled to hear the separation from any artificial channel from overhead or behind. Ankar has given a list of some harsh space requirements I could not meet Okay In testing – your fate can improve. These satellites need occasional manual intervention, which results sometimes to be worth hearing Pop. It is a bit disturbing, and has improved with the update of every firmware.

I saw 19 hours of battery life from these satellite (projector Not I have a battery in testing). It includes a two -hour film, which was viewed in a 50 % volume outside, and the remaining 20 to 30 percent of the rest of the ease was just wandering the music. That IP54-Claimed Satellite Speaker, even once I forgot out, survived a small shower of rain.

1/16With the sun setting, the image was large and beautiful.

Overall, I have no real complaints. Sometimes the features of the automatic image appointment may also lose this mark, but I find them more useful than disturbing. Sometimes satellite speakers do not add properly, but it can be fixed quickly by the power toggle. Google’s UI runs slowly in times, but it is faster than any other portable implementation I have tried. And I have seen a lot of firmware updates, but matters continue to improve.

Ankar’s Nebula X1 has affected me completely. It produces incredibly voicing sound for its size, as well as a bright, vivid image compared to the home theater projector costs close to $ 5,000. The Nebula X1 is expensive at $ 3,998 with a satellite speaker’s bundle, but anyone who feels the need for a projector who can take the home theater experience closely closely, will get the cost of their money.
