There are many ‘royalty -free’ websites that present photos, videos and more that you can add to your plans. Some are free, and although you may be lucky and you can find you after you, it is not surprising that the best results often come from paid services.
Adobe stock is what we will find in this review, to see how it compares to a beautiful crowded field.
Adobe Stock: Pricing and Planning
- Adobe stock is not the cheapest, but it is also not the most expensive service there, and we realize that they either offer the option to subscribe to or buy credit for occasional needs.
Pricing is a savvy thing: How valuable are you after this asset? If you look at different competitive services for Adobe Stock (such as Getty Images or Shutter Stocks, for example), you will see that prices are differently different. Although not cheap, Adobe can be seen as the middle of the road.
Always with Adobe Products, you can pay monthly subscriptions or sign up for a monthly paid annual contract (such as a phone contract). Depending on the plan, you will get a fixed amount of credit to use.

Adobe Stock: Interface
- A huge library of assets is in your control, helping to lower the results with a powerful search tool and useful filters – and you can do all this without logging.
Browsing via Adobe Stock Catalog You do not need to be logged in or subscribe to any kind, or such a thing. There is a great way to discover and test what is available before committing yourself.
The interface is very simple: All assets are managed by the category, which can be obtained through an easy menu from the upper part of each page: you can see ‘videos’, ‘photos’, ‘reflection’, ‘vector’, ‘audio’, ‘templates’, ‘fonts’, ‘3D’, and ‘free’.
It’s OK: A large number of assets can be downloaded for free, including more than a million images and even 55,000 4K video clips.
Seeing in a category is worse than a grass stack looking for injection: How can you expect to find a shot that you are literally looking for hundreds of millions of elections? This is where the filters and the search field fall into it. Type in any keywords to tighten your search, and if it is not enough, display the filters sidebar to the left to trim the results. For example, you can only choose to find pictures, ignore reflection and vectors, or remove pictures of any generative AI.
A filter that we had especially enjoyed was a box of ‘disclosed content’. With this, you will only see assets that have never been downloaded by anyone, which may be a bit disappointing if you are the provider of content, but will ensure that the asset you have used has never been seen before.
Another advantage of this filter is to understand that although more than 140 million AI photos have been produced in stock, more than 130 million have never bought anyone, which still provides some hope for humanity and the real creative process.
Adobe Stock: Assets
- The acquisition of assets is a matter of logging, buying and downloading them to your computer. There is also a way to get stock to produce new images based on a selected image
Getting assets may not be easy, though you will need to log in with your Adobe ID. If you do not already have one, getting an ID will not cost you anything. This applies whether you are on subscription, use credit, or download free assets.
Once you got one of your liking, the mouse on it to display some buttons, including a big blue ‘download’. Click it, and it has been downloaded to your computer.
One of the other buttons allows you to save assets in your library. It doesn’t pledge to buy you anything, but you have a good way to collect your choice, and later make your collection just to download (and purchase) your need.
Each thumbnail also has an elliptical in the upper right corner. Inside it, there is a ‘similar search’ option, which uses this selected image to find other similar assets for you. Coincidentally, you can also use a ‘similar search’ filter with one of your pictures.
Another option is ‘Create Differences’. Based on the selected asset and your own optional indicators, Adobe will produce new new options for your choice. They claim that if you choose one of these variations, the original artist will be compensated, which is fair and fair.
Adobe Stock: Cooperating Media

Talking about partnerships, such a service survives only through regular intake of new assets, and that is why you get the ‘sale’ option on the right of the menu at the top of each page.
Once you fill your details, including tax information, this is the only question to select your photos, and upload it to the service, with relevant detail and tags (you can directly from the Adobe Light Room).
There are some restrictions, such as specific file formats and minimum size, but in addition, you should be good, and if anyone should buy your work, 33 % for royalty rate images and 35 % for videos.
Should I buy Adobe stock?
If buy it …
You are in the market for new assets, you enjoy browsing through a huge portfolio, and like the fact you can either subscribe or buy credit to get customized.
If not buy it …
You do not want to add more costs to the already struggling financing, or you are not fans of the Adobe Environmental System.
