After knowing that Samsung was developing a triple screen foldable, rumors pointed to a new form factor using Qualcomm’s existing flagship SOC, Snapdragon 8 Elite. It seems that an UI 8 may have answered us this question.
In a new UI 8 internal beta, we saw a string of the code that mentions “Siop_Q7MQ_sm8750”. The “Q7MQ” section is known as a code name for triangle. A recent leakage suggests that the real name of the device may be Galaxy Z. Meanwhile, “SM8750” is the Snapdragon 8 Elite model number. This is not surprising, but eventually it is nice to end this details.
Out of this discovery, Lex has told us that it will have a 10 -inch OLED screen, which will be a similar camera setup in the Galaxy Z Fold 7, and can cost more than 4 million RWs (~ 2,930). Samsung allegedly plans to sell the device in China and South Korea only initially. According to the company’s mobile chief, TMROHH, the device is expected to start later this year.
