Apple may be ready to introduce an upgraded display layer for its upcoming iPhone 17 Pro models. According to a new report, the company has resolved production issues that previously retained a new scratch resistant, anti -reflective screen technology. IPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max are now expected to include this advanced display coating, while standard IPhone 17 And the rumor iPhone will not do 17 air. It is said that the coating is said to reduce the reflection and improve scratch resistance compared to the protection of the current ceramic shield.
Apple first discovered this new anti -reflective display layer in 2024, but preliminary efforts to bring it into production were worried. The application of the coating was reducing the manufacturing lines, increasing concerns about production rates and delays. At that time, it seemed as if this feature could be eliminated. However, Apple’s suppliers have allegedly improved the process and can now measure it for mass production.
The current generation of iPhones already includes fingerprint -resistant olivebic coating and ceramic shield glass layer that Apple has developed in conjunction with corning. However, Apple has not preferred to reduce the reflection on the iPhone as it is for its iPads or Max, which has received treatment for anti -reflective display in recent years.

If this new screen technology is launched as expected, it will take the iPhone closer to pre -presenting. The latest galaxy devices, including the Galaxy S24 ultra, the feature of the Gorilla Glass Armor, is a new core material that reduces the glare by 75 % and also improves scratch resistance. In our Galaxy Lineup coverage, we noted how this change improves the ability to read in sunlight.
Given the display durability and the growing interest in external discipline, Apple’s anti -reflection, the move to introduce the scratch resistant coating can be viewed as design and performance upgrades. Nevertheless, it is said that only pro models are expected to increase.
Personally, I feel like this is another way that Apple Pro is continuing to separate models from the standard. Although better screen can actually help with everyday use, those users who prefer the base model can once again feel out of key hardware upgrades. He said, if Apple pulls it without interrupting production, it can set a new standard for a high -end smartphone display.
