This year, Samsung launched the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra in January and S25 in May. According to a new report from Samsung’s South Korean home, next year, the family (if we neglect the FE model) will consist of only three members.
Therefore, expect the 6.27 -inch Galaxy S 26, 6.66 inch Galaxy S26 Age, and 6.89 inch Galaxy S26 ultra. That’s right, there will be no Galaxy S26+, that is,, of course, if this report is true.
We cannot say that we are very surprised. Nevertheless, the Galaxy S25 Edge screen size is like S25+, but it is thin (with all the compromises created by it – basically we are talking about a low camera and very small battery). And with rumors of changing the iPhone 16 Plus with the iPhone 17 Air with the Apple Long Rumors, Samsung is still running along.
We assume that the Plus model of the Galaxy S series has been the lowest selling (this is the only case for Apple), and therefore it makes sense to let it go, especially as the edges will actually meet people who especially want between screen size.
For those who want the biggest screen and the most features, it is always ultra, and obviously it helps in the lower line of Samsung that it is the most expensive of the line – and that is more expensive except the edge. The average sales price for the line will definitely rise, even if only a little.
The flip aspect is that people who were really liked what was offered to Plus and do not need ultra’s extra bells and whistles will now have two faulty options for it: edge with the same size but slightly more expensive and with a small battery and probably still a lower camera, or ultra -expensive, or ultra -expensive.
