The Galaxy S25 Plus, released earlier this year, can prove to be the last of its kind. A new report outside Korea claims that there will be only three types for the Galaxy S26 series in Samsung.
Alec has published an article today (July 14) stating that next year the Samsung will issue a 6.27 -inch base model, 6.66 inch edge, and 6.89 -inch ultra phone. It seems that it speaks the end of the Plus model in Samsung’s Galaxy S lineup.
This is not a new rumor at all, and Elike is not the only place to report the rumor today. The Chinese site will consist of regular tips on Wesbu (through macromers) that the S26 lineup will consist of S26, S26 EDD and S26 ultra.

Ever since rumors about Samsung emerged, an edge style phone has been developed, it has been believed that the ultra -thin phone will replace the Plus model.

The move will make each S series phone a separate model rather than the only big version of the base model. Both the S25 edge S25 Plus, beyond the thin pin, is very common in the S25 Plus, the 50 -megapixel main camera and the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. That said, the edge feels more premium with its titanium chassis and ultra -thin design.
If the size of the rumor is concerned, the number of alcas indicates a similar display like the S25 series for comparisons, which is slightly larger display on the S26 base model, with the Galaxy S25 with a 6.2 -inch screen. The S26 ultra is close to the same size with the Galaxy S25 ultra, which we have recorded in 6.9 inches.
The rumor is similar to the 6.66 -inch edge display like the current Galaxy S25 Edge. Currently, the Galaxy S25 Plus contains a 6.7 -inch screen.
Will Apple do the same?

It is rumored that Apple and Samsung are following similar routes with their lineup.
Most Apple’s observers assume that the company will replace its plus model with the iPhone 17 Air later this year. This will make this year’s lineup iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max. Current leaks have painted a slightly smaller air photo with battery life less than long lasting iPhone 16 Plus.
The iPhone 17 lineup can be launched between September 8 and September 12, if a new Bloomberg report is believed.
