Google has officially confirmed its plan to integrate Chrome OS and Android into a united platform, indicating a major change in the company’s software strategy. The announcement was made with Sameer Samat, president of the Android Eco System in Google, while talking to Takadar in the recent media event.
Sada allegedly asked a journalist why he was using Apple Watch, iPhone and MacBook. When he was pressed for context, he replied:
I asked because we are connecting Chrome OS and Android to the same platform, and I am very interested in how people are using their laptops these days and what they are doing.

This comment seems to be the first public confirmation of Google’s long rumors. According to the previous reporting, including the November story we covered here, Google is not creating a completely new operating system from the beginning. Instead, the company is planning to move the characteristics and functionality of Chrome OS directly to Android. This means that Android is expected to take the lead as a basic system, in which the Chrome OS ingredients integrate over time. From this point of view, Google allows to unite its efforts without force to completely recover, while also aligning with the recent emphasis of Android, to improve its major screen experience. In fact, Android has already begun to be prepared in this direction. Google has to increase production capacity especially on bullets and laptops. These include a suitable desktop mode, windoid multi -tasking, better support for external display, and better behavior of the app on large screens.
The interest of the century shows how consumers are engaged with today’s laptops shows that the project is still developing, the user’s opinion plays a potentially role in creating the final results. Although the executive did not share any release timelines or product roadmap, his statement indicates that work behind the screen is already underway.
Potential integration can also put Google in a strong position to compete with Apple’s iPados and Macos environmental systems, especially for users who switch between devices or want continuity in phone, tablet and laptops. By creating more smooth and permanent experience in form factors, Google aims to solve one of Android’s long -standing challenges: pieces between the platform.
Although the details are few, it is one of the obvious signals that Google still wants to make its ecosystem easier. Uniting Chrome OS and Android can help strengthen development efforts, improve user experience in devices and help in productivity and better position Android. That said, with the platform stability, Google’s history (thought Fuchia) suggests that implementation will be everything. Let’s hope that this strategy will end.
