In the tech terms, June and July have been particularly busy this year. Although gamers are sinking their teeth in the new Nintendo Switch 2, the racing of new, interesting, and important, cheap new smartphones to consider mobile fans.

One of the low brand brands of cheap phone is Poko. The Zumi -owned subsidiary prefers any kind of performance, and offers powerful equipment that usually reduce competitors in budget and middle -distance markets.

One of Mark’s latest offerings – Poko F7 – attacks an impressive balance between price and performance, which has a combination of Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8s General 4 Silicon, while it is still less than 9389 in the UK.

Earlier, the impacting value of Poko’s F-Series phones means that the privileges of the camera and the update support are expected by aspects such as longevity, and is often accepted.

However, scan through the Poko F7 studies, and you will see that the team behind the phone has clearly taken a clear step to prepare the competitors of maximum capacity. And this creates a problem especially for prominent rivals.

    Better Ig-Nord?

In the second week of June, the fresh -facing OnePlus Nord 5 touched, serving as the new brand’s top mid -Ranger. In the past few weeks, during the process of testing it for yourself, however, comparison with Poko F7 has continued, and OnePlus attempt has lost nine times out of 10.

For starters, despite coming to £ 399 in the UK (ie F7 to $ 10 more), Nord 5 runs like a Poko on the same chip set family, but it uses the previous generation-in the Snapdragon 8s General 3. One Plus has also made the pair that with traditional UFS 3.1 storage, Poko is bleeding. Place)..

You also get a bright display (in terms of both the panel wide and the brightness output of the peak), the high IP68 grade protection against dust and water (Nord 5 top in IP65), and also 25 % larger battery (6500mAh, 5200mAh compared to 5200mAh in most markets).

The POCO has also extended its commitment to support its update to meet One Plus, which promises four years OS release and six -year security updates.

The main warning here, which has the ability to keep the ball back to Nord 5 court, is the difference in the user’s experience.

Xiaomi promised big things in 2024 to go from MIUI to Hypers, and while the company’s Android-based user experience is facing some clear technical improvement, the aspect that is facing the user of Hypers 2.0, such as F7, is also lacking.

In contrast, OnePlus’s latest oxygosis 15, as prominent on the latest and excellent One Plus phones, plays clean, more beautiful, low -fola, more responsible, easy to use and AI -backed features play more intuitive and dynamic sweets. And since it is a little part of the phone with which you interact more than anyone else on a daily basis, this may be because Nord 5 is technically high and more affordable F7.

    Better than nothing?

Perhaps the highest profile launch divisiono in the first week of July was the release of the phone 3.

I say ‘discrimination’ because the company immediately caught its “first true flagship” on its design, performance and price.

Although there is no question that the aesthetics of the phone 3 are unconventional, as the most concept in these three aspects, I am less inclined to say that Poko F7 is proud of the better or worse looks. In fact, its semi -transparent back is nothing decisively, as it happens.

Where the hassle for the phone 3 really starts with the choice of choice of choice, which is estimated – as you can guess – Poko F7 is like giving strength: Snapdragon 8s General 4.

I have nothing against this particular silicon and I have not done a commendable job to describe the qualities of the chip. But on a phone that costs £ 799 / $ 799 (nothing is yet expensive phone), people were expecting to see the choice of choice for almost every other 2025 Android flagship: Qualcomm’s top -off line Snapdragon 8 Elite.

Poco F7 to rub salt in the wound. In addition to hitting the market before the phone 3, a large battery with packing and sharp charge in fast storage, you get a single chip set (and thus comparable performance) at a less than half price.

Really, the extra money commanded by the phone – like OnePlus – you do not have access to any of the best user experiences of smartphone in the market, which has nothing in OS 3.0, not to mention higher cameras, a bright screen and long software support (7 years OS and 7 years of security updates). Therefore, the distribution is not as complicated as Nord.

In a three -way firing between Poko F7, Nord 5, and Phone 3, then, it eventually falls where your preferences are found. Is a smarter user your top priority, or more efficiency and low price tags make you easily? If the latter, I am inclined to recommend a powerful and affordable Poko.
