Z5 has announced its partnership with the Amgi Media Labs to prepare a free advertising streaming television (Fast) channels service in India. The company said it would launch fast channels in August to offer its audience content with advertising for free. The company already has an advertising -free subscription revenue model, but now it is in the eyes of a new sector that offers traditional experience like TV. The fast sector estimates the annual rate of 12.67 % in five years (2025-30). However, the company is not the first person to enter the market.
ZEE5 to launch high -speed channels
According to a press release via Z5, the streaming platform is taking advantage of the immigration media labs technology to launch its fast channels in India in August. The company claims that the move will further strengthen its associated TV service. Zei 5 said that fast channels will cover the series like films and series such as comedy, drama, and associated devices and horror on smart TV. Z5 has dubbed it as a strategic move that can help enhance its presence in the linked TV ecosystem, which claims that its pace is increasing at a very high speed.
What are the fast channels?
According to Statistta, fast television service offers free viewing of content. Service providers earn through advertising revenue, as well as how traditional TV channels earn. This gives people access to a number of TV channels that are made available to them without any price in return for ads. Recently, Fast has gained popularity when people start choosing their use. To put it in simple terms, fast and traditional linear TVs work similarly. However, instead of choosing the “specific content”, consumers want to choose channels they want to see.
According to the Statista website, the fast channel service market is estimated to reach $ 194.71 million (about Rs 1,671 crore) in 2025. In addition, the entire sector market revenue is expected to increase by 12.67 % in the next five years (2025-30). In the United States alone, market revenue in 2025 was about 78.78 billion (about Rs 49.602 crore). By 2030, the number of high -speed users in India is expected to be around 154.3 million.
If anyone is to consider these numbers, Z5 is entering a fast channel service at a suitable time, where the rapid growth in the market is estimated. But Z5 is not the only player in space. The stop channel and the Plex are already in the market with considerable presence. According to the Plex website, it has more than 25 million users globally. Unfortunately, the company does not provide customers’ data by the country.
