- Quantum Computer will soon be able to break the modern -day encryption
- When this happens, national states can misuse tech to steal sensitive files
- Capjimini says organizations need to prepare today
Sooner or later, quantum computers will be able to break today’s encryption, and when this happens, important industries like defense, critical infrastructure, telecommunications, and other, will be at risk of invaders of the national state that there will be enough resources for resources, such as expert research.
In fact, many national states are likely to harvest the secret data in the preparation of this “Q-Day” moment.
A new report by the Capjemini Research Institute has surveyed a thousand organizations, which has an annual income of at least $ 1 billion, with 13 sectors – 13 countries in the Pacific, Europe and North America and 13 countries, most of which are searched for respondents (about 70 %).

Researchers at Capagyamini found that two-thirds of the respondents (65 %) are already concerned about the rise of the “Harvest-Direct Litter” attacks, which will initially have a “QD” in the next five years.
Even more, close to 60 %, believe that QD will be within a decade from now.
Vital to reduce the risk, businesses in major industries should move to post quantum reservations as soon as possible.
“Initially transfer business continues, regulatory alignment and long -term confidence,” said Marco Pereira, the global head of the Claud Infrastructure Services in Capjimini.
“Quantum safety is not a discretionary cost but a strategic investment, which can turn a competitive threat into a competitive advantage. Organizations that initially recognize this fact will improve itself against future cyber attacks.”
The report also states that most of the survey organizations (70 %) are already preserving their system through a mixture of secret algorithm after the emerging quantum.
