When Apple added RCS Universal Profile 2.4 last September with the RCS Universal Profile 2.4. This allows cross -platform messaging between iOS and Android users who have RCS active. This allows iOS users to chat with Android users so they can get and share high quality video and photos. If you have ever tried to receive photos from an Android user on your iPhone on your iPhone, or on the contrary, you will know what this is destruction.

RCSIOS and Android users also allow the original emoji reaction to exchange long messages, receive typing indicators, read receipts, and obtain a separate text, which says, “Who loves your text.” But there is an important feature of the RCS that will not be available until the Apple RCS Universal Profile 3.0 support, and it is at the end of the end.

From the end to the end, the messages sent by users are encrypted, and the only people who can read them are the sender and the desired recipient. Even Apple or Google is not able to read the message. Currently, the RCS supports transit encryption, which partially protects the message sent to the Android user from the iOS user and vice versa. The message cannot be read from the time when the sender is released and travels on the Internet. But once it reaches the destination (such as a server or wireless provider system), the message can be stopped and read.

In addition to the end -to -end encryption, when the Apple RCS enhances support for Universal Profile 3.0, it will allow users to get new features on the iPhone, iPad and Mac, such as:

    • Inline answers that allow users to respond to a particular message within the conversation.
    • Edit messages that can change the messages already sent to users.
    • Organized messages allow users to delete the already sent message and receive it to show that it was not sent at all.
    • Fully tapeback support for RCS messages that allows the original emojis to be allowed as a message response without a particular job requirement.

Apple has not announced any timeline to support RCS Universal Profile 3.0. At the same time, carriers need to wait to support it. We should see that Apple includes the latest RCS Universal profile with future iOS 26, iPados 26, Macos 26, and Watch OS 26 updates. So far, it has not brought the scene on either of the first three iOS 26 The manufacturer releases the son.
