I have a long history with Samsung’s Galaxy Z Philip Line. Our Galaxy Z Philip 3 review was my first experience with modern Philip Phone, and it immediately bent me. Whenever I was in the middle of the review cycle, I started to slip my SIM into the Galaxy Z, and in the summer the Packed event became my favorite, Sydney Swanny Camos and all.
And still, as I like the Galaxy Z Philip experience as a whole, I always have a problem: cover screen experience. From a moment that turned into a huge flakes window from a small display, it felt right behind the curve. So, when I saw that the leak suggests that the Galaxy Z Philip 7 will have a new display that looks like a Motorola Razer Ultra, I have lifted my hopes. Unfortunately, I think my hope was in the wrong place, and why it is here.
New display, new me?

Before I don’t have a Galaxy Z Philip 7 – why I haven’t kept a phone that I have not yet kept – let me come down, throw me a bone. I am very happy that Samsung has finally thrown the folder -shaped Flex window in favor of a panel spread around the double camera cut -out. I am sure that this galaxy will be mad at the purest or the other when they have to adjust the sequence to fit around these cameras, but I think it’s a more effective use of the space.
At least, the adoption of a new edge’s Flex window indicates that Samsung is eventually looking out of its galaxy. The new 4.1 inches, the 120H Herz panel is larger and bright than the previous, on any side is at the top of 2,600 nets with just 1.25 mm. This makes me miss a lot of razor ultra, which has taken a nearby place in my pocket, and I thought it could be a software experience to match.
You have a new Flex window, Samsung, but why won’t you benefit most of it?
Look, from the day the original RazR Plus launched back in 2023, from that day, I had brought me to the Roger Dark side, Motorola’s openness. He did not seek the perfect experience of the cover screen. Instead, he allowed the apps to find its way around the dual camera cutout, offering immediate indications to collide the interface in a small window as needed. This meant that I could fired any app that I wanted, from Strava to Toadotes, at one aspect ratio, they never had to look for the purpose, which embraced Android’s entertainment, quirky aspects.
On the other hand, Samsung has always kept things in the air as much as possible. It limited its original core screens to a slightly more than notifications and eyes in the first half of the email, if I wanted to typing on a 1.6 -inch panel, forcing the core screen to install OS. I was happy to access more detailed widgets with exchange in a suitable Flex window, and Samsung’s core screen widgets are still excellent, but it always feels like something is missing.
The low approach was rare because I wanted to access my favorite apps. His i, I needed to go to a custom app that I feared: Lock.
Hello, good lock, my old franom

Unfortunately, one thing I expected from the Galaxy Z Philip 7. I just had a unified app on the Flex window, and it doesn’t look like it will happen. Thanks, Samsung.
I should not say that I am surprised, because Samsung usually doesn’t fix something that doesn’t think his broken, but I still can stay a little bit. Now for three years, I have hoped to install the good lock, download the Multiuster plugin, and the I Heart Galaxy Foldable Toggle was a temporary solution. I thought it would be once and Duma, or maybe twice, while Samsung guessed how to improve the apps for its cover display. I was wrong on both counts. Good lock is still here and it doesn’t look like it is slowing down.
Good lock is full of powers, but I don’t think the second app should be one of them.
Don’t think me wrong, good lock is full of clean tricks. I like this is a semi -home way to feel your galaxy like yourself, because it means that you know that whatever you download will work well on your Samsung phone. I love that people are ready to be creative with the DIY Home, to remove the articles and geometry on all parts of their home screen so I supported the most unique app grid (even if I don’t think DIY is for me and my organized mind).
And yet, for all that can be good, I don’t think it should be for the Galaxy Z Philip’s Flex window. I don’t think it should be necessary for the app to do something like a drawer, as it should not feel like customization on a thousand dollars of flip phones. This should allow me to find a new area, not only to reach the time that the motorow lifts with its razor.

Meldis Galaxy AI with the Flex window from the new edge
With a 6.9 -inch main display and 4.1 -inch Flex window external display, the Samsung Galaxy Philip 7 focuses on putting AI smart in your pocket. When measuring only 13.74 mm thick when pairing, it is still the most thin Z -Philip phone. Filled with a 50MP camera and a sweet of AI tools, Samsung has termed Z. Philip 7 as “pocket -shaped selfie studio”.
