Beyond this route, there is bad news here. You will remember when we discovered that Google can force battery health aid to remain active, and gradually reduce the maximum voltage of your battery. This is aimed at reducing heat risks than possible battery. Google later confirmed that it intends to issue “Essential Automatic Software Update to Android 16” in the Battery Performance Program Support Page for Pixel 6A. Today’s update begins with this rollout.
Although this is the launch of the Pixel 6A battery performance program, not all owners will see changes to their battery life. “Only affected devices will receive battery management features, Google says. You can check to see if the Google eligibility page has an impact on your phone. If your device is considered to be affected, the management features will only turn on after reaching 400 charge cycles.
