Telecom operators in India may allegedly increase mobile prices by the end of the year. According to the report, the increase in prices may increase by 10 to 12 percent, however, companies can get tired approach this year. The alleged approach will be taken because Indian telecom operators have increased basic prices by 11 to 23 percent in July 2024, and another increase can make mobile recharge projects very expensive. In particular, the reason behind the planning increase is the growth of strong active users in the month of May.

Mobile tariffs can be increased once in 2025

According to a report by ET Telecom, Indian telecom operators, including Indian Airlines, Reliance Geo, and Vodafone Idea, may increase the fresh rise at mobile prices later this year. It is said that the increase is between 10-12 %, and companies can target consumers who buy more than the middle of the middle recharge projects. In the troubles of consumers, a new increase can be implemented only 18 months after the alleged previous increase.

According to the report, operators are focusing on a tredit approach to avoid active users who portray various telecom network providers. The biggest reason behind another price increase is the strong growth of active consumers in May. In 31 days, the Indian Telecom space witnessed an increase of 7.4 million active users, a record of 29 months. This increase also took the total counting of active users to 1.08 billion.

“The recent record speed of active users’ growth in May is not just due to the general acceptance of past tariffs, but also when returning to the secondary Sims system associated with the requirements,” the publication told an unknown executive of the industry.

Companies are reportedly not considering the increase in prices of low recharge projects as it is likely to instability. However, companies are asked to believe that increasing prices in high recharge schemes from mid, instead of stabilizing the user’s base, instead of pressing to find alternatives, can eliminate the consumer base.

Although no details are available about how companies are looking for different levels of classification, it is said that some reservations may be around the use of data, data speed, and even “specific times of high data use”.
