Astronomers have discovered the third interstitial doubles to undergo our solar system. Named 3I/Atlas (initially A11pl3z), it was first seen by the Atlas telescope in Chile on July 1, and confirmed the same day. Pictures of pre -discovery show it in the sky as far as mid -June. The internal system of this item is racing at about 150 150,000 miles per hour on a straight path, very fast to achieve the sun. Estimates show that it can be nucleus 10-20 km. Now, within the orbit of Jupiter, 3I/Atlas will swing near the sun in October and should be observed by the end of 2025.
Discovered and classified
According to NASA, in early July, the Atlas Survey telescope in Chile first saw an unconscious moving item called A11pl3z, and the center of the minor planet IAU confirmed the next day that it was an interstitial visit. This item was officially named 3I/Atlas and is likely to find its biggest interesting body yet.
