Apple and Samsung smartphones are often called the same in many ways, and to the extent that is very true: modern flagship phones do not make much difference in strength and cameras. However, two separate reports have been revealed from the leading sources about the Galaxy S26, and it seems that it will be different in an important aspect compared to the iPhone 17. Two reliable sources of courtesy, the upcoming flagship products of both companies: Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra and iPhone 17 Pro Max. Although the previous reports have alleged that the next pro Max will increase thickness, these new reports increase and it reveals that the ultra will also be thin.

With what I can tell, Samsung is applying its design philosophy to its top terraces model for the Galaxy S25 Edge, while Apple is choosing more battery space instead.

If existing rumors (Not the certified notifications) Then anything has to go, then IPhone 17 Pro Max 5,000 mAh will come with the battery. However, that would be the same S26 UltraWith some predictions, Samsung can eventually use denser battery technology to achieve the same capacity in the lower space.

According to the notifications, IPhone 17 Pro Max 8.76 mm will be thick, and S26 Ultra Less than 8 mm but more than 7 mm. The current iPhone 16 Pro Max is 8.25 mm thick, which means that Apple no longer tries to reduce its flagship model every year. If an Apple user wants a slim experience, they will have to go for the iPhone 17 Air, which will only have a battery of 2,800 mAh.

Apple is doing what I want to do for a long time to phone companies: already increasing battery capacity instead of pressing a very slim phone. And if Samsung is really continuing to reduce its phones, a big difference between iPhone and Galaxy phones will be introduced in the next few years.

Chinese phones are hitting the silicon batteries range, some phones are even reaching 8,000 MAH capabilities: such as Honor Power. While 5,000 MAH IPhone 17 Pro Max Not much, it is still more than your predecessor. I am glad that at least one of these two top dogs is moving forward, which I think is the right direction.
