Not many years ago, if you have long mentioned YouTube music in a room filled with Google Play Music users, you may hear their collective breath from space. Google retired its dear service in 2020 and replaced it with something that, at the time, being a real music player, felt under -backed. Move faster by 2025, and when the crawls did not completely eliminated, almost everyone we know, including our readers, are using YouTube music.

This disclosure came from a straightforward debate that we are currently running Android Authority. With more than 8,000 votes and counting, the majority of respondents say that YouTube music is a series of music services, Spatifs, Apple music, Amazon music or nothing else. YouTube has emerged as a music king, though it is not the most beautiful ruler, but a practical thing that helps people appreciate it for its convenience.

You have to admit that making YouTube music a part of YouTube premium subscription was a talented move by Google. When we asked our readers about their preferred streaming service, we certainly expected some strong opinion, but what we did not expect was a great model that emerged. People are not picking up YouTube music because of its extensive music library or algorithmic genius. They are choosing it because it creates a lot of meaning economically.

“YT music do everything I want and at a much cheaper price (including YouTube Premium),” a long list of another comment is given remarks that echo the same emotions.

YouTube Premium Family Plan is the real hook

“When you have a family plan, you can’t defeat the cost of YTM,” said a reader.

Investment performance is one of the main reasons why people choose YouTube music on other services to run music. Not only the YouTube Premium Plan You have millions of YouTube music songs advertising free, offline, and when your screen lock, but the YouTube Premium Family Plan is the real hook. Every month. For 22.99, you can use YouTube music without advertising on accounts up to five! It is a difficult to defeat Spatif’s choice, which also offers a family plan, but one that does not come with the tasty aspect of YouTube premium.

    It’s not love, it’s logistics

    Edgar Survints / Android Authority

For many users of YouTube music, the journey began with the forced retirement of Google Play Music, followed by chaos in YouTube music. Playlists were transferred, priorities were ported (sometimes badly), and the new interface got a lot of habit. In fact, some people never used to have it. And still, he stayed. The reason for this is that the years of music on Google Play Music moved to YouTube music.

One of our readers said, “I use it because all my music of Google Play Music hates any algorithm for music. I have bought the majority of what I hear or I have 500 CDs and uploaded to GPM.”

Clearly, when Google Play Music was transferred to YouTube music, people did not want to suffer all their valuable collections over time, so they were trapped with YouTube music and have been hanging on it since then.

YouTube Music: Unofficial King of Local, Direct, and Forgotten content

    Which Hindi / Android Authority

One of the major benefits of YouTube music is mostly on streaming giants globally, it is regional, lively, vague and old music availability. Streaming service decisively takes over.

Android Authority Readers (including you) acknowledge that it is impossible to find specific direct music, core, local songs, old, forgetful tracks, and music from small countries on Spatifs or Apple music. You know those songs are always present? YouTube music.

One reader said, “An area where YouTube music really stands is a total volume of the original albums. My primary interest is the original rock era of 1964-1980. YouTube music has practically every original studio album from this era, which is important.”

YouTube music is a treasure for Indi music lovers.

Since YouTube music directly draws from a massive video library of YouTube, which includes fan uploads, niche recording and regional hit, it becomes a treasure for Indi music lovers. If someone in your country has uploaded old classic remixes? You will probably get on YouTube music.

“All services have the least one thing where they take over others. It depends on how you value different features. In the case of YTM, it has the ability to find a direct version of the tracks that I love the most. The other platform will also pursue it in other fields, but I will listen to it directly, but it is a high price.

This is a place where the platform quietly wins hearts. Not with fancy recommendations or smart design, but with easy access to things that really matters to you.

So why are people not happening about YouTube music?

Despite all this, very few people really claim to “love” YouTube music really. This Reddate is not dear to the debate. This does not surprise that the headlines receive (unless you are in AI-Influx Playlists). Its recommendations algorithm, streaming quality, and UI still fade the discussions. And yes, some ago, Google Play Music users still feel trapped, with no other alternative.

If you are a dye hard spotfa fan or Apple music boyfriend, we get it. These platforms offer polish, smart integration, better contact and great personal recommendations. But YouTube music is the stream of every man, and it’s just getting better. This is the option of “Uh, too” that is understood economically, culturally and practically.
