Google and Microsoft are warning users to stop using passwords to protect their accounts and instead use Passaks. What is a pasky, do you ask? This is a digital certificate that allows you to enter an app or website without typing in the username and password. Instead, you use the same methods you use to unlock your device. For example, you can use with Pasky:

    • Biometrics: Fingerprint or facial identification. Examples include Face ID, Touch ID, Android Fingerprint/Face Unlock, and Windows Hello.
    • Pin/Pattern: This will use the same method you use to unlock your phone with a PIN code or pattern.

Leading American Identification and Access Management (IAM) company Okta says it has seen a risk actor VO, AI, to develop fashing sites that imitate legitimate sign -in web pages. Okita says the threatening actors can now use AI to create a “functional fishing site” from an easy text prompt. “Versal’s V0.Dev is an AI -powered tool that allows users to create a web interface using natural language indicators. Okta observed that this technology is being used to copy the legitimate sign of multiple brands, which includes an Okita customer.”

“The observed activity confirms that today’s threatening actors are actively experimenting with well -known genius tools to smooth and enhance their fashing abilities. The use of a platform such as Versal’s V0 allows emerging actors to accelerate the speed of speeding.

    -Kitta

Okita’s risk intelligence saw in real time when threatening actors used a Versal platform to host multiple phishing sites that pretend to be a legitimate website for well -known brands such as Microsoft 365 and some cryptocurrency firms. The use of AI to make these bogus websites means that old red flags, such as spelling and gramical errors, may no longer be used to warn you of fishing attacks.

Even your safety cannot be counted on two factor verification (2FA). The best defense is to add passkey to any account where this is an option and, if possible, eliminate the use of passwords of accounts that allow you to do so. If you should use the password on an account, make it unique, tall and non-SMS 2FA.
