According to the Counterpoint, Apple has 200 stability labs that use hardware through highly rough tests to ensure that products like the iPhone can avoid real -life use. These are the tests that are run inside the labs that allow iPhone units to maintain a 40 % higher price than Android phones in the market for renewed devices. The Counterpoint also states that the iPhone accounts for 56 % of the global renewed smartphone market.
How Apple tests its devices to see how they catch against water, drops, vibrations and more
It’s not just an iPhone that costs more than its competitors, non -Apple devices. The counterpoint says similar performance is seen with other products such as Mac, iPad, Apple Watch, and Air Pods. The Counterpoint took note of what Apple’s stability labs saw during his walk. The first tests mentioned by the counterpoint were covered as to how these products would remain in different environments.

With Apple devices available in more than 175 countries, the company tests how hot and humid conditions affect its products. The Counterpoint saw a test to see how 100 hours of salt exposure affect apple devices. Apple also exposes Apple products in front of the sand from the Arizona desert to see what the iPhone responds when the iPhone’s speaker gets home or the excellent sand particles inside the charging port. In other tests, artificial versions of sweat and air waxes were used in the lab to find out how these products maintain a permanent exposure to real things.

Many of you are probably interested in learning how Apple tests its product to determine how they keep liquid and water exposure. In its labs, Apple imitates rain and other conditions that reflect the level of water resistance to individual products. The first drip is a roof test that may not be the original rain, but this is an incredible imitation. If the device passes this test, it is eligible for the IP X5 rating. X means the product has not been tested for dust resistance.

The next test measures how Apple’s appliances stand up to high -pressure water jets from far away. Passing this test gives this product an IP X6 rating. Apple tests use a pressure tank for IPX7 and IPX8 rating of one meter and six meters, respectively. Although this protection is suitable for sinking iPhones in clean water, the company tests other liquids, including sodas, juice, sunscreen and aroma.
The maximum IP score available on the recently released iPhone 16 series is the iPhone 16 Pro and the iPhone 16 Pro Max IP68 English Protection rating. This rating means that these handsets are unpleasant to the dust and can sink into more than 19 feet of clear liquid for 30 minutes.
Can be the most vulnerable test to watch the drop test
The next series of tests measures how Apple’s products respond to drops. The Counterpoint says an “accidental drop” is one of three reasons that require phone repair. Counterpoint saw tests “imitating numerous random, accidental drops that can experience Apple’s products in everyday use.” To help the drop test. Apple has developed a kilotzi robot that drops devices, including asphalt, particle, and granite boards at different angles and at different levels. Each drop is analyzed by Apple using a special app used by the company’s engineers.
The last test measures how Apple’s devices stand on vibration. The product is placed on a table that regenerates different types of vibrations that may be encountered in the transit or during other conditions.
The Counterpoint says it was affected by Apple’s attention, as well as a large number of iPhone units before the launch. The report states that Apple will examine at least 10,000 handsets before the latest model exposes. The iPhone 17 series, which is expected to add ultra -thin iPhone 17 air, should be introduced in early September and should be released at the end of the same month.
