The Freedom of Information Act application has submitted letters that the US Department of Justice sent to Google, Apple, Amazon, and several other companies to raise their concerns about breaking the law that banned US web services from working with Teltok.
The documents – which were obtained earlier this year by Google’s shareholder Zucheng Anthony Tan, who filed a lawsuit earlier this year to release them – Attorney General Palm Bondi and his predecessor’s acting Attorney General James McCary III to protect them from a foreigner. Well, US companies need to be protected from app stores and other platforms. The law aims to force Teltok to sell his Chinese parent company by Betdance because of national security concerns.
