Electronic Arts (EA) has decided to close the Bioer’s multi -player action game, the anthem, which is under its influence several years after the launch. The company announced Thursday that it would set the game on January 12, 2026. The anthem will be able to play until it is taken offline, but the EA is preventing the sale of premium currency in the game. Biovir’s first direct service title, antim, PC and consoles were launched in 2019, but failed to attract the basis of a strong player.
EA to turn off the anthem
In a updated on its website, the EA said that the song servers will remain online until January 12, 2026, after which the game will no longer be viable. The players will not log and play because the game is just an online title.
The EA said in its update, “We have an important update to share about the anthem. After careful consideration, we will sunset the anthem on January 12, 2026.” “This means that the game will be worth the online game for the next 180+ days. To date, you cannot buy premium currency in the game, but you can still use your rest balance until the server is offline.”
Although the anthem can no longer be purchased on the digital store front, the players who buy the game will be able to install it from their digital libraries and play games unless the servers are online. The anthem will also be removed from the EA playlist on August 15, 2025. The EA has also confirmed that the shutdown of the anthem will not result in any rid of the biover.
The anthem launched on February 22, 2019 in PC, PS4 and Xbox One, and marked the departure of single player RPG’s portfolio. In 2021, Bioer struggled to find a multi -player title permanent player base before stopping all future growth in the game.
Bioer has then struggled to re -occupy his strong basis as a developer of the Dragon Edge and a massive effect such as a single player franchise. After the Dragon Edge, the studio was left. Earlier this year, several staff members were allegedly reduced to less than 100 employees after leaving several staff members or other EA teams.
The studio is now working on the title of the next large -scale impact, headed by veterans from the original Trinity, which includes Mike Gamble, Preston Watmaniwick, Derek Watts, Paresh Lee, and others.
