Mid -range and entry level GPU launches dominated in the summer, NVIDIA’s RTX 5060 and 5050 to AMD’s Redon RX 9060 Xt. And many of them are shaking 8GB video memory-an important element of a card that allows the providing graphics to store and use it on demand.
This is a capability that has been going on since 2016, and if you listen to people in high places, this is enough for all -round gaming 1080p. But the Indiana Jones and The Great Circle (recommended 12GBVRAM) and cyberpank will request sports to be different. Especially if you are considering jumping in 1440p gaming.
As I said in my RTX 5060 TI review, go for 16 GB as a safe bet to protect myself from the growing demands of the AAA sports. And as sales data shows, you have all understood the assignment.

This insight is from the German retailer Mind Factory, which shows how many of each of them are sold. As viewed by the WCCF tech, the difference between sales between NVIDIA RTX 5060 TI in the variations of 16 and 8GB, and these flavors are tightly AMD Radeon RX 9060 Xt.
- For RTX 5060 TI, the 16GB model has seen sales of 16 x more units than its 8GB counterpart.
- For RX 9060 Xt, this number is 30x more for 16GB.
One thing is clear, regardless of what you hear from the companies is enough to tell you 8GB, PC players are not buying it (literally and symbolic), nor am I.
Good, but only in specific situations

If you put your brain back, we have some time to test with 8GBVRAM with RTX 5060. Of course, it was a test within some terms that NVIDIA was appointed to us-to show what was possible at the 1080p, which packs the DLSS 4 good topics.
And as I said, the final result is great. But of course, as I said, you have to play here in a particular playground. Because if you remove the branches and look at the raw rendering performance of this card, 8GB is an alboton around the neck of this GPU.
Given the portable aspect of things, testing RTX 5060 laptops on computer 2025, if your game library is already packed with DLSS 4 tech, it is weighing that for the first time the gaming laptop owners will get the RTX 5060 system.
But for the desktop, this is a different story.

Some of them will go to the number of Kada Corps to present here, but a large part will be a hindrance to this video memory. And this creates an inevitable problem.
Demand is far behind this hardware

Best, these 8GB cards are made by the Committee – looking at the steam user data and identifying the 1080p concerts, especially the large area of the game without seeing the growing trend in 1440p.
Unfortunately, they say “$ 299” to say a completely low price here. And if you are a desktop PC gamer looking for a new GPU or pre -built tower, if you see the number 8 next to the name of this graphics card, avoid it.
Right now, these cards have some powers, but at this time, the weaknesses of the deep hesitation on the deep titles are about to deteriorate in the future. Give yourself something to breathe with 16GB vram.
What should you buy instead?
I know this is a difficult answer, but only one is really expensive GPU to buy on paper. In terms of long -term price, this additional video memory will be more valuable.
And for the UK PC gamers, there is an option now.
