The Google Photo app is updating with three major changes. The first is the support of the dynamic light mode. Instead of always watching the black background, Google will use the photo light mode or the Dark Mode background that you have set up for your device’s system theme. So if you have a set on your phone light mode, your photos will be shown in the photo app with the light background. Those of you who are enjoying the current black background can make sure that your devices will show your device for dark mode and show the black background.
Have you ever wanted to find a date, time and location where and when a particular picture was shot? Currently, you need to swipe from the bottom of the picture to get this information. You will see the day, date and place where the picture was taken. You will also see what phone was snatched on, camera settings, and the amount of storage used to protect it.

Update, date, time, and the location where you have drawn the picture on your display will be displayed on the picture. This will make you easier to access this information. And finally, the three dot menu in the right corner is getting some new features like:
- About
- Google Lens
- Create (Let’s create a collegiate, cinema image, or highlight the video)
- Cast
- (For direct or motion photos) save
- Download or delete from the device
The selected images will also be available for three dot menu related to a new context, making it easier to manage burst shots and stack shots. You will be able to change the picture above, remove the pictures from the stack, remove the pictures from the stack, take the steps to take batch measures using the stack, or the multi -select.
Interactive badges will appear in Photo View that gives you this ability:
- Change the picture category
- Play or stop directly or motion photos
- Save the shared photo in your library
- Back up photo or manage storage options
All the previous functionality is the same. The “Add” button will help you arrange photos in albums. Move them to your locked folder, or selected documents. Another big Google Photo update is coming to the app editor soon.
