It was a ‘blinking blink and you lost it’, but during the WWDC 2025, Apple revealed that 13 car manufacturers would soon add the ability to add digital car keys to your Apple wallet.
At least 20 brands are already offering Calis Entry, including BMW, Genius and Hundi. Basically, you can add a digital key to your wallet app, which will enable you to lock, unlock and start synchronizing using your iPhone or Apple Watch.

Unfortunately, Apple did not provide any timeline or many other details about it when digital keys were available for the manufacturers’ cars.
Apple has a webpage that has a list of all vehicles that support Apple Carplay, and also has a small key symbol that shows you which cohesive cars work with digital keys. It can be difficult to miss because the symbol is a small light brown key.
You can see that some brands adding digital keys are already offering carplay support.
With iOS 26, talking about the carplay, your iPhone and a carplay is coming to the car. Despite being in the son, we got this improvement.
During the WWDC, Apple also announced the carplay ultra, which aims to construct selected vehicle manufacturers in vehicles. However, this is facing some early problems, as some promised car makers are already retreating.
