    • Amazon has begun to stop some apps from its fire TV platform to promote piracy.
    • The list of freshly blocked apps include bulk streams, flix vision, direct net TV, and Ocean streams.
    • Disabled apps can no longer be used, and can only be installed.

After sharp criticism of failing to stop piracy on its fire TV platform, Amazon has begun to stop several streaming services that otherwise the DRM -protected content. The list includes at least four video streaming apps, including black streams, flix vision, direct Net TV, and Ocean streams.

According to two separate reports from YouTuber Techdoctoruk and from AFTVNewsAmazon Fire TV devices show a warning message when these apps are either opened or newly installed by Sileroid. The warning states that running these apps can “endanger your device or personal data.”

In addition to a warning message, fire TV devices also prevent users from opening these apps. Is with a warning message Keep And Installed Button (as shown above). However, Keep Leaving, the option has become gray Installed Only as a clicking option. The fire TV app will not automatically delete, but there is no guarantee that it will start to work again.

Referring to “Personal Data in Risk”, this message shows that Amazon has also been focused on privacy, and suggests that some of these apps may be malware. This is partially true for Flex Vision, which was found for resource harvest, such as CPU on fire TV sticks or Amazon interface smart TV, and developers to take advantage of them. For the rest of the apps, this restriction is fully appeared to prevent access to copyright content.

However, Amazon has not explained the exact reason for blocking these apps. We arrive in Amazon for comments and we will update the article if we listen to them.

In recent months, Amazon has been strongly criticized for its instability about piracy. Researchers at the Anders Analysis Recently by Amazon (through Free) To allow piracy to “industrial scale”, while the UK sky has allegedly accused him of failing to stop illegal streaming, which would cost Broadcaster “hundreds of millions of dollars”.

Sky Chief Operating Officer Nick Herm has also claimed that more than half of fire TVs sold in the UK were illegal prisoners. Although eliminating the jelbrock units can be a huge task, Amazon’s action will certainly help him with a reaction.
