Samsung has recently filed a patent on the display interface on the edge of a phone that looks like a Galaxy Z flip model in the future. The patent application was submitted to the China National intellectual property administration (CNIPA). The patent was viewed by 91 mobiles and shows the “battery level graphical user interface” on the foldable clam shell flip style phone.

The upper frame of Philip Phone has a slight curve and the interface reminds you of a curved display phone of the past. The Galaxy Note Edge was launched in 2014 with a curved edge.

The example included in the patent shows what indicators appear, which shows how much battery life is left on the phone. Easy to check the status of the phone’s battery for the user, running a line -curved display made of solid color representing the battery percentage on the phone. At the bottom, the battery is equivalent to the equivalent of the battery.

For example, the patent is for example 90 % of the battery life remaining, which shows a blue line that is moving the curved display 90 % of the full line. The rest is 10 % in black, which indicates the percentage of the battery used. Black color will always represent a percentage of used battery, while the second color gives you a quick idea about the battery status.

With a 90 % battery life remaining, the line is blue that shows that your clam shell flipper has plenty of battery left. At 50 %, the line is in gold, and 10 % of the line’s battery life is red, which is believed to be considered as a “red alert” warning.

The example of the patent also shows that the USB-C port includes charging and data transfer below the phone and there are dual speaker girls. The patent also shows the edge of the edge and the dual cameras are also shown. The device shown in a patent application certainly resembles the Galaxy Z Philip model.

Just because Samsung has filed this patent application, it does not mean that we will definitely see a curved display clam shell folded with the “battery level graphical user interface”. If Samsung has decided to move forward and add this feature to the Galaxy Z Philip, it will not be on this year’s model and will probably start as soon as possible in 2026.
