- HDR images in Google Photo now maintain your full dynamic range and HDR metad data when edited with tools such as photoshob and magic eraser.
- The app now has a “Ultra HDR” device to illuminate the images.
- SDR images can now be increased to HDR.
The Google Photo app has some improvement in how to edit the high dynamic range (HDR) and the standard dynamic range (SDR). The update will prevent HDR photos from falling into the SDR. Google is also updating a couple of its HDR tools.
In the past, if you use edited tools such as photoshobors or magic cleansers, a copy of your HDR image will be made in the SDR. As Google explained in 2024, the reason for its amendment tools was “designed for SDR images, in which the model expects SDR images like inputs and manufacture SDR images as output.” However, Tech Dev has now improved these tools so that your images can maintain their standards.
According to Google, your HDR images will now have a full dynamic range and important HDR metadata, even after editing features like photos inbuler, magic arista, and portrait light. “As a result, the opposite and highlights of your pictures will remain.
Google Photos also has a new “Ultra HDR” tool to adjust the brightness of the image. Meanwhile, the name of the previous HDR is changing “tone”. The company says the purpose of this name is to reflect the true purpose of the device.
In addition, it was announced that you would be able to convert SDR photos to HDR photos. This means that you can give more visual pop of your old SDR photos that have deep contradictions and bright light.
This is a timely update because it is reported that Google is eliminating the photo rollout. Ask Photo is an AI -powered feature designed to answer questions about your photo library contents.
