Me, like many of you, I believe, I like nothing but curling on the couch to watch a movie. Perhaps unlike you, however, I also need to watch movies on a huge TV – ideally, from our guide to the best TV – and most of them enjoying more of them with a full -fledged sound system. Why do things from half -section?

Until recently, I was ‘doing’ with 77 -inch LG G4 OLED. This is an extraordinary screen that loved me again with my movie collection. But after a while, it looked small. I needed something bigger. Something Better.

Without spending the equivalent of a House deposit to get a huge screen experience at home, a projector is your best bet – it is probably the closest that we can get the ‘authentic’ home cinema experience.

    You can like

I recently wrote my Hyson C2 ultra -review, and when the color, the sound and perhaps most importantly, it was significantly found, because I was able to offer my wall more than 80 inches larger on my wall. If I had set up my Sonos Home Theater system in my main room, I could easily ask myself this question, “Have I got a domestic cinema?”

The answer, as it came out, was not. The reason for this is that I have recently supplied an 83 -inch LG G5, can currently buy a great amount of OLED TVS. Thanks to its sheer size (I understand that I still fit the 97 -inch model in my viewpoint), combined with its new, Super Bright ‘Four Stack’ Tandom RGB panel, G5 has completely ruined the projector for me.

    Large screen, big shine

Earlier, after owned the G4O LEDs released in 2024, I was not sure how the LG could improve, which I thought I had ever seen personally. But when I heard rumors that the South Korean company has developed a new type of OLED panel, which includes individual blue, red and green layers to produce light, and that has led to a lot of brightness, boys, my interest.

As our LG G5 proves measuring, we have done the brightest OLED ever, which has measured 2,268 nits on the 10 % HDR window in the filmmaker’s mode. We tested the 83 -inch version of the Samsung S95F, which shares a panel -like panel, and recorded a slightly more reading of 2,388 nits. However, this measure was taken in the Samsung event rather than our own testing facilities.

This means speaking in the real world means that the LG G5 HDR is highly expected in displaying content, and it gives TV shows and films a deeper sense of depth, as it is capable of making a better difference in the light and dark areas of a picture. My colleague James Davidson has previously written a deep diver, telling how well the G5 handles different content. Like black and white movies Open Hymer Like the eye -driven colorful movies RatherAnd I couldn’t agree more than when he says it’s a “really beautiful TV”.

I usually turn into a maximum of 100 setting, but there have also come a time, especially when my room is especially dark, that I had to reject it. Leaving it on 100 can sometimes be a job to see the retina!

The shine of the projector is measured in the lemon, and therefore it is difficult to compare. It is claimed that it is somewhat equal, you can multiply the number of NITs by 3.426 to get the shining data in the lemon. In the case of the LG G5, taking 10 % window data of 2,268, it would mean that a projector would need to measure 7,770 lemon to compare.

Although there are projectors that can reach this figure, or go beyond, they are usually specific to the event’s large places and not for home use. Therefore, a domestic projector cannot easily match the capabilities of the LG G5, which can make TV a better option for movie buffaloes like me.

    Defense against reflective

Another area where the bright panel of the LG G5 has defeated the projectors is dealing with the light. It may not come like this They Surprisingly, it is worth deciding when you decide how to remove your own main room for the final viewing experience.

Your opinion about the screen reflection may be different from me. You may want to eliminate them completely, or if your overall picture quality is ready for it, you may be fine with the strange reflection on the screen. I am in the latter camp, and look for a combination of LG G5’s brightness-which works more often than reflects-anti-reflective coating and overall image quality is more than satisfactory.

I’m not going to say in any way that there is no reflection in the G5 screen, because there are there, they don’t bother me so much.

If you need to completely eliminate the reflection, then a TV like Samsung S95F will be more than your choice. It uses a second -generation glare -free screen to eliminate the light reflection on the entire screen in a twisted effect.

James Davidson has previously compared the anti -reflection capabilities of both Samsung S95F and LGG5, so you can easily determine how the two screens have rented against disturbing acoustic light.

Even on the right side of the screen, the lights are barely a reflection in the eyes. (Image Credit: Future / Maximum Langridge)

In my opinion, the way the Samsung TV is handled with light, resulting in brown color on the entire screen. I cannot deny that it does a better job of reflecting, because I have never been able to see myself on the screen – something that can happen to the LG.

More frequently, though, I’m not watching TV in a super -bright room (I often wonder that many people honestly watch TV with overhead lights). Certainly, the light of the day comes from the windows, but when the day goes on the evening and then at night, I have some smart lights around my room, and usually they are set at least on the brightness. In these examples, Samsung’s glowing tech becomes useless, and in my mind, it really lets the LG G5 shine.

With a projector, you are going to struggle to a great extent in daylight conditions, although I have learned that Hans C2 ultra has done a reasonable job to counter the integrity light during his review. At night, the situation is naturally better, but the fact is that it is still not similar to the very bright level of the LG G5.

    A strong connection

LG G5 – And the last reason for any TV for this matter – defeats a projector to see my home cinema, the fact is that it allows a clean solution when adding outer devices.

My sound bar is sitting under TV through the TV stand on the TV Port under the TV stand. Everything is well and clean, and other external devices are hidden in the unit on which the TV is seated.

If I wanted to set a projector – let’s say, say behind our sofas and viewing position – I have to run a long HDMI cable on my floor to reach the sound bar. No, thank you.

It only applies to some projector style, however, the long -term projector.

Earlier, I have experienced the Xgimi AURA 2 Ultra Short Throw (UST) projector and is very surprised at the extent to which it performed. The UST projector can sit on the same TV unit and present such a large image (or large) on the wall. But to really come into life, it needs dark conditions of light, and it uses inferior Android TV operating system, which did not give me access to some streaming apps. In the meantime, LG’s webos 25 OS is practically flawless in my opinion – however, I am not so fans of the new magic remote.

I acknowledged that Aur -2’s audio performance was much more impressive than expected, which provided a powerful, rich voice in detail with effective objects. The authentic voice of the voice, it can be connected to an external system, which I imagine is as clean as the TV provides.

With a projector like Hens C2 Ultra, however, I must have put it on my coffee table in the middle of the room. Although it may be a short distance away, but my unit is Lot Close to perform its full potential. But then, where will I put my bottle of wine at night? This is not a compromise I am willing to make. TV stays!

    Peak cinema

Since being the LG G5, I am more excited to watch different movies and TV shows. Even I have invested in the Sony UBP-X700 4K Blue Ray Player and has begun construction of my disc collection to take full advantage of the screening of the screen.

For me, I have hit the peak cinema … at least until the LG G6 comes with.
