Ever since the Generative AI has entered the spotlight, there has been concern as to whether it will replace human employees and will be widely rescued. Although such a thing is already happening – and some professionals, such as artists, are being neglected in favor of AI – research firm Gartner is reducing AI agents.
Gartner says AI agents have been hype
According to a new report, about 40 % of agent AI projects should be eliminated by 2027. The firm believes that many of these works are usually made around many hype, not the original substance. Gartner also says that the return on investment for these projects is extremely incredible, which will lead to their fall. AI agents are very simple, digital employees who are the place of human workers. They can communicate with a computer and do things that a person needs before.
Gartner – Senior Director of Anushri Verma claims that existing AI models are unable to follow complex instructions. Verma also says these models cannot help companies achieve business goals, and therefore human employees will need in the near future.

The current job market is very discouraged for employees. There are very few holes for many workers, and people are being forced to accept low wages to stay in jobs. The culture of serving has also seen a sharp decline, and a positive experience with the recruiter is like finding a unicorn.
AI is already a major threat to this fluctuating market. Artists, authors, and especially customer support representatives are afraid to leave. Many companies – such as Microsoft, Amazon, IBM, and even Dollingo – have already started letting employees go in favor of AI change. Agent AI is in danger of these sectors, and Gartner’s report will have a lot of relief from many people.

Although AI agents may not be like human workers, the progress made in this field cannot be denied. By 2028, at least 15 % of the daily work will be made by Agent AI, Gartner says.
Also, from a fully business perspective, it would be more profitable for companies to use AI agents.
