Almost two years after the Fairphone introduced the final upgrade, it announced its latest repair smartphone. The new Fairphone 6 is smaller and 9 % lighter than its predecessor, but it contains a large 4,415mAh battery – which is able to easily replace the seven screws – which will give the phone up to 53 hours on full charge. This is even more modular than the previous version, which has new accessories such as card holder and finger loop that can be connected to the back of the phone.
Fairphone 6 is now available at the company’s online store and other European retailers at 9 599 (about $ 696). There are black, green and white color options. But as the previous version starts with Fair Phone 3, the new model will only be available in the United States through Morina, and delivery is expected at some time in August. Instead of running a standard Android, the Morina version of Fairphone 6 will feature Android’s privacy -based and de Google version, called the Company /E /OS. It is now available at $ 899 for pre -order.

Fairphone 6 has a Snapdragon 7S General 3 mobile processor, 8GB RAM, and 512GB storage, which is expanding up to 2TB using SDXC card. It also includes a 6.31 -inch LTPOO LED display, which is slightly smaller than the 6.46 -inch screen of the Fairphone 5, but with a refresh rate, 90Hz has increased from 120 herts.
On the back, you will find a 50MP main camera and a 13MP ultra -wide camera, while 32MP Holecartone camera for front selfies and video calls. This is an important step in Fairphone 5, which used 50MP sensors on all three of its cameras.

The physical design of the Fairphone 6 is like the previous model, though the lenses in the back of a small camera are not located and instead sit on the back panel directly. This panel is now more modular, from which the bottom can be removed using only two screws and replaced with replacement, such as a wallet or a hand to hold the phone more safely to hold the card. This idea does not offer anything for its CMF phone 1 and Phone Pro 2, but in reality it will depend on how many accessories the Fair phone is available.
Fair phone repair is still a priority, and its new phone forwards the same modular design of the past version. The modular aspect allows you to access and exchange 12 different parts – including screen, battery, and USB port – using only one standard screwdriver instead of special tools.
To further enhance the life of Fairphone 6, the company includes a five -year warranty and promises eight years of software support during 2033. But the lack of everything inside the phone and the lack of strict seal is that Fairphone 6 still has a limited IP55 rating for dust and water resistance. It can sprinkle or even explode from a jet of water, but it will not escape accidentally drowning.
In addition to performance improvement and new modular accessories, the Fair phone remains on a course with its latest smartphone, but it is introducing an additional new feature by the software: Fairphone moments. By being activated through a physical switch on the side of the phone, it will allow you to “togel between a complete feature smartphone and a minimal experience.”
We do not know exactly what the moments of the fair phone will be minimal, but since the company is “a mind -making method of engaging with technology, controlling the owners, not their notifications,” it looks like an alternative mode that reduces disturbances so you focus on specific tasks.
