The Fairphone has formally unveiled its latest eco -friendly flagship, Fairphone 6 (formally known as ‘Fairphone’), and while this device is more modular, more repaired, and quite clearly more fair phone, from the design point of view, from the point of view.
I say that as a compliment. With this new model, the Fairphone has removed the round aspects of Fair Phone 4 and Fair Phone 5 and replaced them with flat sides. à à à à IPhone 16 e and Samsung Galaxy S25. Three lens cameras have left, but these lenses now sit freely from the physical module, not unlike the lenses-you have guessed it! – iPhone 16 e and Samsung Galaxy S25.
Now, I’m not suggesting that the Fair phone has copied someone’s homework here – for one thing, Apple and Samsung do not have monopoly on flat sides and floating camera lenses. But I think Fairphone has done the right thing to do with Fairphone 6 in a more secure, more growing aesthetic.
You can like
I write this piece as an iPhone fan. I like the clean, industrial shape of Apple’s iPhones – or in particular, after the iPhone 4, iPhone 5, and the iPhone 12. And I recently praised Google for leaning in the iPhone aesthetic with Google Pixel 9 Pro, which is the best pixel phone through all the accounts to date.

Yes, the design is sapphire, and we know that specific types of users get this ongoing trend of boring according to smartphone design. But the number does not lie. If the iPhone is the most famous phone in the world, it makes sense for rival manufacturers to make your phone more like an iPhone. Hack, Samsung did this with the Galaxy S24, and he sold better than the Galaxy S33.
As a company, Fairphone’s USP is its sustainable approach to smartphone manufacturing, and its product is designed to maintain a longer than competitors brand. But stability comes at a price for both makers and buyers.
9 499 (about $ 680 / AU $ 1,049) for Fair Phone 6 is already a tough sale when the best cheap phones have more charming options than ever. So I can understand why the Fairphone has set up the more and more familiar, the run of the mill, but why the most premium -visible design with its latest handset is.
In doing so, the company has appealed to me more to Fairphone 6 as an iPhone fan. I am not saying that I or others will now dig my iPhones for a fair phone, but Fairphone 6 has a sales point now that it has not done a reasonablely cheaper predecessor.

All of this meets the expectations of the fair phone to be considered as a torch bearer of stability, as a dwarf -fed electronics manufacturer. As the company’s Fair Phone Chief Impact Officer, Monic Lampers, told Takadar in an exclusive interview earlier this year: “We want to emphasize that, beyond this person, that we choose to buy a sustainable product (usually), that we have a really good product for this person, so it is a wider, so it is a wider. Is for. “
“The people I want to see is that Fairphone is a European electronics company that brings great products to the market, for those who want to get more price than their products.”
Then it is clear that the Fair phone hopes to tap in a market that goes “beyond this” to its current fan base, and I think the Fairphone 6-familiar, with an iPhone-like design can be a product that helps the company do so.
