Last week, nothing was announced that nothing was made of the phone 3 by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s General 4 chip sets. It is a polarizing move in the light of the company that markets the phone as “true” or “real” flagship, where consumers will expect a high flight Snapdragon 8 elite processor.

However, Poko F7 has just launched, and this is the first global phone operating by Snapdragon 8 S. General 4. So, do you have anything about the horsepower of phone 3? How does this chip compare to a fully manufactured flagship processor? We put Poko F7 through a series of benchmarks to find out.

Snapdragon 8s General 4 CPU and System Benchmark

I have decided to stand against Poko F7 last year against the Galaxy S24 Plus, the current Galaxy S25 Plus, and Google Pixel 9A. Keep in mind that the Poko F7 is a medium distance phone that starts at 9 399/£ 389, so its closest rival Pixel 9A is more than anything.

It is worth noting that there is no small CPU cover in Snapdragon 8s General 4. Qualcomm chose a cortex-X4 wandering at 3.2GHz and seven cortex-A720 cores rotated on different frequencies. I initially thought that this CPU setup would pay multi -core CPU performance profits, but it is not that it ends like this.

Gack Bench 6 testing shows that Poko F7 does not beat last year’s Galaxy S24 Plus and its Snapdragon 8 General 3 chip sets. Samsung’s phone is 9.3 % faster and 7.7 % faster in a single -core and multi -core benchmark respectively. Nevertheless, Poko Phone still holds honest besides S24. I am estimating that the speed of the Snapdragon 8 General 3’s high overall clock and the rising cache helped to meet any performance fines associated with the maintenance of the electric rotating small cover.

Poko F7 pixels get more than 20.6 % single -core CPU advantage. This is surprising because the Pixel Tancer G4 chip has the same cartilax-4 CPU core, though at a slightly low watch speed. When we look at the multi -core scores, these balloons in favor of Poko take 48.7 % of the massively. This is not a shock due to the four small CPU core of Tancer G4.

However, in both tests there is a huge difference between the Galaxy S25 Plus and its Snapdragon 8 elite chip. Samsung’s latest phone is 48.5 % and 53.3 % faster in single and multi -core tests respectively. It is in a large part of Qualcomm due to the Oren CPU core, which blows up the latest IP of the past arm, leaving the previous generation of CPU tech. I am guessing that growing cache also plays a role.

Snapdragon 8s General 4 GPU Benchmark Mark

One of the best ways to really push a phone is to keep it through the GPU stress test. So we presented it through our preferential tests, namely Three Mark’s Wildlife, Wildlife Extertium, and solar restraint tests. Within Poko F7, Snapdragon 8s General 4 uses an adreno GPU with a so -called cut architecture, like Snapdragon 8 Elite. However, the elite chip set uses three slices, while the 8s General 4 uses two of them.

Two wildlife tests show that Poko F7 is not a stable actor, which has achieved only 59.7 % and 56.7 % stability. This is a very poor demonstration of loneliness, which shows that the blood flows will be significantly slowed down over time. The device also sees more than 45 degrees Celsius in both of these tests, in which only the S25 Plus has defeated it. However, the POCO phone enjoys a lower average temperature than the Samsung phone.

Zumi’s phone is completely lost in terms of peak scores, as the Galaxy S24 Plus defeated it by about 30 % while the Galaxy S25 Plus is ~ 66 % faster. When the demanding titles run, it looks like a great benefit.

Snapdragon 8 S. General 4’s GPU does not perform more than last year’s Snapdragon chip, but testing stress shows a different story.

However, take a keen eye on these graphs, and the Poko phone actually defeats the S24 Plus in some parts of each test. In fact, it only pips the S24 Plus at the end of the extreme wildlife test. Poko F7 does not defeat the Galaxy S25 Plus at all, but it comes very close a few times. Samsung’s latest phone offers disappointing ~ 53 % stability for both tests, while S24 Plus offers 58.5 % and 60.9 % stability respectively. The graph also revealed that the Samsung phones are almost immediatyly suffering from significant performance, while Poko Phone sees severe drops from only 14 to 18 runs.

Google’s pixel is clearly one step down from the competition in terms of 9A peak performance, but it shows unprecedented stability in these tests. The phone maintained a stability of 79.1 % and 77.1 % in the benchmark, and because of this, it played almost with the POCOF 7 for the expanded runs. Pixel 9A also cooled against rivals in terms of peak and average temperature.

    Headley Simonis / Android Authority

Snapdragon 8 S. General 4 also plays hardware -based ray games, though the technology is slightly low in the mobile space. However, this test provides a unique workout for GPU and its ray tracing ingredients. However, Pixel 9A does not offer this tech.

The results here are quite surprising, as Snapdragon 8 Elite is separated with 52.2 % stability. Last year’s S24 plus is not good because it is only capable of maintaining stability 50.2 %. Meanwhile, POCO F7 maintains 87.1 % stability by the end of the test. This rock solid performance means that POCO F7 is actually galaxy s24 plus and s25 plus, both long long the labor -long long long labor, the longer the long lack of the long lack of long long, the longer the long lack of long long the lack of the long lack of long long. The Xumi device ends the test behind the S25 Plus and only puts the S24 Plus out of the edges.

    Nothing to worry?

    Headley Simonis / Android Authority

The Poko F7 shares the same chip set like a phone 3, and this benchmark shows that when the CPU’s performance and peak GPU work load is talked, the processor is still one step behind the last year’s flagship dragon Silicon Silicon. This means that Snapdragon 8 General 3 and 8 elite phones should take easy advantage of low demanding sports. These fully manufactured flagship phones should also offer better performance while playing advanced games for a short time.

Permanent GPUwork burden is another matter, however, Snapdragon 8 S. General 4 Galaxy S24 Plus is able to advance and serious threat to S25 Plus. This strictly shows that nothing can be taken by the phone 3 fighting some snapdragon 8 general 3 phones and may be when playing a demand game in an extended session, or if you are in a hot country.

However, Snapdragon 8s in Poko F7 is far from General 4 Perfect. This CPU has a healthy edge over Pixel 9A in workload, but Poko F7’s throttleing and rock solid stability of Pixel 9A means that the Google phone was at a distance in the GPU stress tests. So I hope that nothing comes on cooling steps.

Ultimately, it seems that nothing will not be done by the phone 3 last year’s flagship phone, but things should be out of expanded exercise. However, it seems that the performance for Snapdragon 8s General 4 may not be a basic problem. Chip MMVO 5G, 8K recording, and 4K/120FPS deprives video capture, but offers Bluetooth 6.0, Wi -Fi 7, and Expin Support. You just have to decide for yourself whether this is a suitable trade.
