Last month, there was some excitement around Huawei as his fellow book Fold Laptop was allegedly reinforced by a 5nm Caren X90 processor. These days, the Huawei and Foundry that these days are not allowed to obtain the SMIC in China, thanks to ours and Dutch restrictions, to get highly ultra -welfare (EUV) lathaography machines. These machines are used to print extremely thin circular patterns on silicon waffers that are made of chips.

EUV lithography is required to prepare chips using 5NM process node and less. In fact, it was thought that Huawei and SMIC have been able to make 5nm chips using the old deep ultra -violet (DUV) lithography machines that are not under restrictions. Using numerous impressions with the DUV machine, the SMIC tries to print features in small size than it makes it clear with the same DUV impression. The problem is that this technique is incredibly difficult, resulting in lower output, which increases the cost of such ingredients.

As it turns out, the Karen X90 was eventually not made using 5NM SMIC process node (N+3). The new report states that the Karen X90 was developed using SMIC’s 7NM process node (N+2) after all. This is the same process node used by SMIC to build 7NM Caren 9020 application processor (AP), which debuted on last year’s colleague 70 series smartphones. This new information certainly appears to be suspicious of the recent comments made by Hui CEO Ren Xiangfi. To talk to the state of run Daily of peopleThe executive said, “Our single chip is still behind the United States through one generation. We use mathematics to use cluster computing to fulfill physics, non -peacock law, and to fulfill single chips, and results can also achieve practical conditions. The software is not an obstacle to us.”

If the Caren X90 is made using the 7NM node, not the use of 5nm node as before, Huawei and SMIC will still have two generations behind the United States. Next year, when we see Apple’s iPhone 18 line walking through Apple 2 NMAPS, it will benefit Huawei through another generation. The only thing that will help Huawei is an EUV alternative, and when there are always rumors that Huawei is working on such a thing, now, the company has a huge difference that seems to be that it cannot stop.
