I’ve been a concert for most of my life, and I have almost played the game almost on a TV. This has not changed, still when I review the best gaming monitor to live. Although these devices are specially designed to play games at the best possible resolution, refresh rate, and response time, I am still default to play on my current LG OLED.
This does not mean that I have not seriously considered switching to the gaming monitor. Devices like Allen Ware AW3425DW, LG Ultramers 32gs95UE-B, and Samsung Odisi OLED G9 have tested me. But while they offer the gaming monitor better performance and low response times, I’m not jumping from TV to a monitor for gaming.
Currently I have a 55 -inch LG CX OLED TV, which I bought back in 2020 to play PS5 and the best PC Games. Despite the better TV like the LG C5, this old TV still provides the least for gaming. This includes OLED display, HDR10 support, 4K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, HDMI 2.1 support, and 1MS response time in gaming mode. When a new gaming generation usually begins, I usually get new TV, so I will maintain this TV until the PS6 is launched.
You can like
I’m not writing this article to change someone’s mind. If you like to play a game on a gaming monitor, then you are getting better experience of gaming. However, if you are like me and like to play a game on a TV, I’m present to tell you that you are not alone. Here’s why I like to play games on my LG OLED TV.
The ideal aspect ratio

Reviews more than 34 inches larger gaming, but it no longer thanks Giants like 45 inch LG Ultragar 45GX950A-B and even more 57-inch Samsung Odyssey G9. He said, such monitors are usually curved and ultra -wide. These gaming monitors can make gaming more deeply and are also terrific to productivity. However, they do not always experience gaming.
The main problem I have with the Ultra Wide Gaming Monitor is that not all sports, especially console titles, altra -wide aspect ratio. For example, PS5 games usually have a 16: 9 aspect ratio. Because of this, if you are connected to 32: 9 monitor, you will have an empty space. This video is also true for the majority of content. Although playing games with ultra -wide aspects can be extremely astonishing, it is only for the selected games with ultra -wide support.
Although I have purchased and used my TV for gaming, I prefer its standard 16: 9 aspect ratio and flat panels as it is ideal for most sports and video content. Once again, the ultra -wide curved gaming monitor is terrific, but they are not the best for most sports I play.
Speaker

Most of the gaming monitors I have tested are not the speakers. When they do, the quality of the sound is not at all. Because of this, you will need to use one of the best gaming headsets.
Although I have a handful of headsets myself, I only use when I am in a game chat session with friends. Most of the time, I’m sounding from my TV speaker. Yes, headsets provide better sound standards and may be more proud, but I don’t enjoy wearing them for more than two hours. Since I am not an audio file and don’t want to wear anything on my head for a long time, I’m fine with my TV speaker. If I had a gaming monitor, I was forced to wear a gaming headset to get a better sound, or to get a sound.
And since I’m sure you will ask some of you, so I don’t use a great sound bar because I live in an apartment and don’t want to bother my neighbors. It doesn’t matter how high I make my TV speakers, they will not match the sound bar output.
The console experience
I started playing PC Games just ten years ago when I bought my first true gaming rig. Earlier, I used to play on gaming consoles only from original NES to PS4 to gaming consoles. Sitting in front of a TV is my ideal experience with a controller, so when I started playing PC Games, I made sure to copy the console experience.
Right now, I have my gaming and work PC connected to my LG CX. When I want to play the PC game, I choose my TV as a display option, fire a game, and play the best PC game controllers. Although I play more steps than playing on the PS5 or Nintendo Switch 2, the actual process of playing PC Games is effectively similar to the console experience.
You may be wondering what I do when I want to play RTS or MMORPG, which is usually designed for the best gaming keyboards and the best gaming mice. The answer is that I do not play these genders. Remember, I came from the background of console gaming, so I didn’t grow playing games like Command and Conquest or Ever Quest. And when I appreciate the mouse and keyboard control, they still feel strangers to me, even for the games that are designed for them.
If I can Only Play PC Games when on my desk, I won’t be a PC gamer. I will explain why a little, but regardless, when I play a game on any platform, I want to do in front of my TV as I am playing on a console.
I am not a competitive concert

If you are a competitive game, you need a gaming monitor. The reason for this is that they offer a high refresh rate of Smo -Smooth gameplay and low response times to improve the input interval (or practice). For example, monitors like Alien Ware AW2524H can get a ridiculous 500Hz refresh rate and extremely low 0.5 MS response. It’s not heard for TV.
Although high refresh rates and low reaction times can help some people play better, the majority of people will not notice a commendable difference.
I am not saying that playing games on 240Hz and 0.03ms competent monitors Will not Make a difference in gaming. If you are a professional concert, you may be able to understand between 240Hz and 480Hz. It’s amazing, but I am just an ordinary concert and does not need this ability. Because of this, I do not need a gaming monitor provider performance.
I don’t want to play where I work
This is the last point, but in reality this is the biggest reason why I prefer gaming on my TV gaming monitor. It is also an emotion in which many of my fellow gaming friends and colleagues are also involved. After spending 8+ hours a day at my desk, the last thing I want to do is stay at my desk to play video games.
I live in a studio apartment, so it is important to nominate different “rooms”, even if it is artificial separation. Certainly, I just go a few feet to the right while going to my desk on my TV, but doing so tells my mind that it’s time to rest. If I want to stay at my desk to play the game, I still think I’m working. This may look strange, but if you ever live in a studio apartment or small space, you will understand.
I am sitting almost eight feet away from my TV, which is a good distance that allows me to see everything comfortably without pressing my eyes. When working, my eyes are about the length of the arm away from my monitor. Usually 8 hours of work day I don’t have to pressure my eyes, but when I have to work more, my eyes are definitely worse. I can only imagine this kind of eye pressure if I also played the game on my desk. To minimize it I might do anything, but why do it when I just leave my desk to play games on my TV?
I like gaming on TV
Playing video games on the gaming monitor is the best way to do so as it is designed. As a gaming monitor reviewer, I will always recommend serious concerts to these devices.
As much as I like to test the gaming monitors and appreciate their appreciation, I will still play my LG OLED. At the time of gaming, it not only provides everything of mine, but it also removes me from my work desk so I can really relax. I am not saying that I will never turn into a gaming monitor, but for now, the way I will always play in sports on my TV.
