Samsung has just launched the Galaxy S25 Age, and it is probably the most polarizing galaxy phone over the years. The new phone brings an impressive thin and light design with a 6.7 -inch display. It also has a 200 MP main camera of S25 Ultra.

Unfortunately, this slim and light phone comes with several compromises, such as a telephoto camera and 25W wired charging power. However, the 3,900mAh battery is the largest cutback in the Galaxy S25 Edge. The Samsung silicon could use carbon battery, but that didn’t happen. And the company’s reasoning is best objectionable.

Do you think Samsung would like to use silicon carbon batteries ??

No, lithium -ion batteries are good enough

Why does the S25 Edge silicon carbon batteries not use?

Silicon carbon batteries are different from traditional lithium -ion batteries by equipped anodes with silicon instead of graphite (surprise). This change allows maximum energy density. In straight words, this means a large battery capacity for the same physical size or the same capacity in the size of the small physical battery. It really looked like a brain for a thin phone like the S25 Edge, but Samsung decided against it.

Samsung US Executive Black Gaser had a strange explanation rather than a mistake when his interview was interviewed in his interview Tom guide:

Samsung always sees every emerging technology that is there. So this is something that we do not definitely keep our eyes away. But with this new chip set, Aging helps with the performance and utility of these batteries with AI, we really realized that going with our traditional lithium -ion battery is the right step for this device.

I don’t know about you, but I’m not buying Samsung’s argument at all. I specifically present it with geyser as a “emerging technology” when they have been used in trade phones for two years. It does not look like a long time, but silicon carbon batteries are more and more smartphone manufacturers than the brands that are not in the flagship space.

Apple, Google, Sony, and Samsung are included in the sole holdout of this place. Meanwhile, Honor, Huawei, Motorola, Oppo/One Plus, Relmi, Vivo, Xumi, and ZTE have issued at least one phone with this tech. In fact, Honor Magic V5 is reading the fourth -generation silicon carbon tech with the beginning of foldable.

Don’t think of me wrong; Silicon is a negative aspect of carbon batteries. They may be more prone to swelling, but smartphone brands have solved the problem by using just a small amount of silicon. We have also seen that companies like Honor gradually increase silicon content as they get caught from the tech.

Samsung claims that silicon carbon batteries are an ’emerging’ technology, but they are here for a while.

If anything, I thought that a limited release like the Galaxy S25 Edge would be the main candidate for the silicon carbon battery. This will allow the company to remove any minor concrete of any minor releases, such as the mainline Galaxy S26 series. This battery will also allow Samsung to reduce its foldable without compromising.

I also raise the issue with the gastrointestinal claim that “Agent AI” can help provide more effective experience. Certainly, the increase in AI and other software can really make a difference, but how much is debatable. In addition, when the small battery is already low and you lose 20 % of the phone’s battery capacity, the AI will not make a real difference from two or three years. And it is not that Samsung cannot bring battery improvement to AII on another, less slim phone.

Don’t think me wrong. I did not expect the silicon carbon battery to be a silver pill for the Galaxy S25 Edge. That’s what you can do with a super slam design. However, even an additional 300 to 400mAhs make a commendable difference in everyday use. Samsung had the opportunity to accelerate his game but was lost again. Ok, maybe the company will adopt the tech when Apple finally embraced it.
