The next time you watch a video of YouTube shorts, you can see something new on the screen. The platform is giving creators a new tool so that you can buy the products they are advertising.
If you make or see an Instagram rail, you may be familiar with the concept of stickers. In straight words, they are just a little graphics that you can place on your videos. However, if you are a business, partner, or having a qualifying account, you can also create money -making brand brands and product stickers for shops. What to do with YouTube? The company is taking this idea and applying it to YouTube shorts.
In a post on the YouTube support site, the company announced that the previous shopping button on the shorts was being upgraded to product stickers. If you are wondering why this change is happening, it looks more than just a way to make the shopping button more fun. According to Google, an experience conducted in May 2025 shows that users are 40 % more likely to click on product stickers than the shopping button.
If you are a creator, you will be able to tag the product and make a sticker. You will be able to tag multiple products, but the manufactured sticker will appear as the first product in your list. If you want the sticker to look like a different product, you can reset your list so that the desired product is first entered. In addition, you will be able to change the size of the sticker and keep it wherever you want. However, size and placement can only be done in the YouTube mobile app.
Viewers’ IF, if you tap the sticker, you will be sent to the retailer’s website. If the creator tags multiple products, the sticker will come down the arrow on which you can tap to see the full product list.
Except South Korea, this feature is available globally. However, Google says it plans to increase this feature soon. So you will probably start watching stickers on shorts.
