tl; drag
- Android 16 is producing a very disturbing bug where it takes a lot of time to get upset.
- Google is familiar with this problem and is working on a fix, and temporary workers are also available.
- This is one of the multiple worms reported by users after Android 16 updates, but there is more, including frozen lock screens and irresponsible gestures.
Android has 16 seasons taste, and pixel owners are already enjoying the latest backlava updates. Giving, many of the headline features are missing from this release, but there are still many changes that Android 16 is called a major update in the platform. Unfortunately for some pixel owners, this refreshing is also bringing new bugs like a disturbing worm where it takes a long time to get up. Google is familiar with it and is working on a fix for it, but it seems that there is more to be highlighted.
Pixel phones are slow to get up after Android 16
Reddate user Jdawg0024 highlights that awakening their Pixel 9 Pro XL has become incredible after updating Android 16. Their phones try to awaken the display each time, either by double tapping the display or pressing the power button. The phone usually works after awakening, but if the screen is closed again, the problem repeats itself.
As you can imagine, it’s very disturbing. This is a bug that negatively affects the user’s experience in a highly noticeable manner, but is not enough to become a Dell breaker, so most people walk using their device but are disappointed. Many other users have asked to confirm that they face the same problem, and we can see that many others can see complaining in several reddate threads. We cannot re -reproduce the issue in a pixel of Pixel Devices on Android 16, including Pixel 9 Pro XL on Android 16.
The official Pixelmite Account responded to the complaint, advised the user to re -boot to temporarily resolve his device:
We are aware of this problem and a fix will be issued in the coming weeks. For this time, you can reboot your device to temporarily resolve this problem.
Some users recommend to disable Tap to check the phone And Lift to check the phone I Settings> Display and Touch> LockscreenThen restart your device and reactivate both features. It apparently fixes the problem, though some users also say that it only does so temporarily. Still, you can try it and see if it works for you.
Android 16 update appears to bring many new bugs
This is not the only bug that users are experiencing with Android 16, although, but it is the most wider. Based on a number of user reports in Reddate and X, we can also submit that users face the following issues with Android 16 updates:
- Lock screen frequently gym
- Slow/non -responding fingerprint unlock
- Unauthorized screen gestures
- Unusual auto sparkle
- Incorrect/non -counter proximity sensor
- Auto Rotet stops working
- Freezing apps and not responding to input
- The camera goes to the gym, often taking photo multiple multiple shutter buttons taps
- The Android Auto Connection Draws Connection
- The circle leaves to find out
Most of these issues, the restarting of the device temporarily fixes the problem. As part of the defects tracking stages, you can try to reset the factory to see if the issues are resolved, though remembering your data backup, as it all will be erased. If problems are intact, you can consider returning to Android 15 and wait for the next stable release that is expected to fix matters.
You should also file a bug report with Google to add your voice to the complaints. After a wider beta program, these expensive phones are getting a “stable” update, so such a long list of insects is unacceptable.
