Google quietly runs two notable design changes as part of Android 16 QPR1 beta 2: a re -designed Pixel launcher search bar and a new Gemini launch animation. Both features are part of Google’s ongoing effort to better connect AI and smooth visual experience in Android.
The new Pixel Launcher Search Bar now looks like a search widget in the Google app and the Circle. The previous layout, which included a Milan “G” logo, a voice search mic, and Google Lens shortcut, have been reset.
