- A new report claims that Samsung will hold a launch event for its XR headset on September 29, 2025.
- The headset will be released in South Korea on October 13, after which there will be global availability.
- Project Mohan will mostly be compatible with Android Smartphones and Tablet apps to eliminate the amount of available material available.
Since its unveiling in January, the Samsung project has been quite silent about Mohan. Android XR headset has been shown a couple of times and we know that it will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 Plus General 2 chip, but nothing is really confirmed. Although a handful of leaks have helped to shed some light on the product, there are still many unknown people who are around the vision pro rival. However, a new report may have answered the most questions we have – the release date.
Project Mohan can find his launch event on 29 September 2025, according to a report Newspapers (Through Seamless) It is said that the hardware will be available in South Korea on October 13, which will be available globally after a while. The United States will likely be involved in global availability.
Prior to the launch event, Samsung can tease the XR device next month for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Philip 7 during its packaged event. In Anepiced, the company will allegedly play prototypes and teaser videos for the audience. It is believed that Samsung will use it as an opportunity to assess the interest of the market.

To separate yourself from Meta and Apple, Samsung’s purpose is common with this technology, such as weight, battery life, content and performance. In terms of content, the report states that most Android smartphones and tablet apps will be compatible with headset without the need for editing. However, some first -party apps in Google and Samsung will have a great UI design.
Even after this report, we are still missing some important details about the project Mohan, such as the real name, the sunglasses, and how much it will cost. If this information is correct, then it is likely that Samsung may leave at least some more details about the device in the July pack.
