The next version of the nearby field communications (NFC) aims to make it easier to unlock payments, pair devices, and doors using your phone or smart watch. The most notable improvement is the distance of contact lace connectivity from 0.5 cm to 2 cm, which is range from X4.
NFC releases 15 standard updates mean that NFC chips should not be required to be attached to the terminals to register a connection, which is especially beneficial for users who have to wander from small devices such as smart watches or thumbs.
