According to a 9TO5MAC report, Apple’s iOS 26 developer Beta 1 update has introduced a new API called MPMediatemanimetartwork. It aims for a dynamic image display, such as a dynamic music album or core art for a media file. Apple says the dynamic artwork contains two assets – artwork video assets and a preview image that combines the first frame of artwork.
MPMEDIATEMANIMANITATWORK API Currently allows an app operating with an app to provide a dynamic video clip to the system that can be shown on the lock screen. In addition, the preview image will be used as a place holder while the video file has been brought and will be available.
According to the company, the preview file as well as the dynamic artwork video will only be needed at the display location and can be obtained individually. The purpose of this API is to provide images of the preview once as soon as possible, as soon as possible, in syncing with the video file.
Although official details about apps supporting this feature are under wrap, the report states that one of the largest alternatives to Apple music can benefit from it. Apple has made it available to the developer SDK after the IOS 16 developer beta 1 update release. This means that third -party app developers can integrate support for API in their apps.
