Samsung likes to spill at the beginning of every new year. Its Galaxy Series are some of the first of the flagship presses, which gives us the taste of the new AI features, fresh Snapdragon (or Xinos) chip sets, and some of the latest, most difficult materials created by the guerrilla glass team of corning. And the Galaxy S. Ultra sits in the upper part of the flag.
So far, Samsung’s top dog is a well-known quantity-Ultra is about to grow, it is going to get powerful, and it is coming with a built-in-in-day pen from the days of the galaxy note line. However, there is always a small capacity to dream that Samsung can do more to remove these features. So, let’s just look at a few things that I am hoping that Samsung will change for its Galaxy S26 ultra.
There are no government rumors or leaks behind any of them. I’m just a boy who wants to see an excellent Android phones that are even better, so let’s expect it.
Please, Samsung, bring back some curves
Damian Weld / Android Authority
When I reviewed Samsung’s last Galaxy S25 ultra, I went with mixed emotions. Not on the performance front – this thing was an animal thanks to the Snapdragon 8 Elite for the Galaxy chip set – but on the design front. In straight words, I couldn’t find a comfortable way to hold and use such a large device, and see it and feel like it was not working like the little Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus.
Yes, it is good that Samsung digs the sharp corners from the top and bottom of his ultra – he noticed that he doesn’t need a flat edge at all to slot into the pen – but I don’t like alternative design. Instead of keeping with round parties, I enjoy the Galaxy S33 Ultra and S24 ultra, Samsung turned into a flat, iPhone -shaped frame, and it felt as if I reviewed the phone at that time.
Therefore, for the Galaxy S26 ultra, let’s cool down the curves again. Samsung’s round frames are more comfortable than its sharp, flat people, where I will happily go back to something like the Galaxy S33 because I enjoyed taking it around. Changing into a round frame will make the Galaxy S26 ultra more specific, now that Google and other people who like anything have not even adopted a flat frame.
Put a small person in the camera collision
Ryan Hans / Android Authority
Sticking to the personality of the personality, I would like to see Samsung to collide with his camera to meet his new found (theoretical) curves. We have mostly made this comment about the Galaxy S25 and the Galaxy S25 Plus, but when every camera of Samsung sits in his circular cutout, there is nothing to be excited about. Combined with flat sides and simple colors, it shows the three like the common phone that the Apple will use for comparison, without the eye mark in their display.
You know when Samsung didn’t have this problem, though? When the galaxy S21 and the S22 series came with their smooth cut camera collision. They did not necessarily like – you would not get them confused for anything like a camera bar on One Plus 13 on One Plus 13 – but they broke the simple design and provided a little protection between each lens.
Please, Samsung, bring back some personality.
Now, the time has come for Samsung to bring them back. I mean, he has already given his Galaxy S25 Edge (which I can’t believe now twice) to collide with a large camera, which keeps the phone thick, and I like a small diet of personality that adds to it. And of course, Samsung did so because it could not possibly fit the hardware inside the body, but I still like it to break the simple design.
I would like to see that 10x optical zoom returns that
Ryan Hans / Android Authority
Subsequently, the Galaxy S. Ultra is always known as Samsung’s Zoom King and the best camera phone. It picked up 100x space zoom while the small Galaxy SS device was trapped with 30x, and it always has the freedom to maximize its extra megapixels. He said, I still think that it was a mistake to dig 10x optical telephono sensors from the Galaxy S33 ultra and replace high resolution 5 X sensor.
Now, it seems that Samsung may probably agree with me – even if it’s a bit backwards. Look, the Galaxy S25 Edge (again), takes interesting steps to ship a ship without any kind of telephonic sensor. However, this sensor supports up to 10x zoom from its primary 200 MP sensor thanks to a mixture of crops and AI processing, and I have greatly affected the photos obtained in my month with the phone. So, if you ask me, a 5x telephoto sensor looks unnecessary.
Instead, I would like to see Samsung trust in most of my 20 MP sensor for most of my twenty zoom. It can hold a 3X telephoto sensor, which can allow the 3X zoom to work with the primary camera for everything from the zoom to just 10x zoom. After that, I would love to see that Samsung returns slightly a slightly tall optical sensor for a faster consequences of about 60 x zoom. I probably won’t often tap the 100x zoom, but if the long focal length means better results in the middle, this is good enough for me.
Sm Pen to return its powers
Ryan Hans / Android Authority
Although most of my desire list has been things that I can expect from the next Galaxy S26 ultra, this can be the next point: Samsung needs to make his pen again. If this galaxy note will maintain the winning styls of many productive fans in the series, they cannot lay their properties a little more than the Motorola’s most affordable MotoG stylus stylus, which he mainly did on the Galaxy S25 ultra.
Further, the Galaxy S24 ultra pen used a Bluetooth le connection to make your phone pair, and it offered smart features like air action, which you could remove a few inches from your screen, and also worked as a remote camera shutter to catch group selfies. Now, both of these facilities are in the past. Instead, Sen, is fine, just a pen – and it is very expensive.
Now, this pen is just a kind of … a pen.
All Samsung has to make me happy with the Galaxy S26 ultra, eliminating it, which seems like a very stupid decision in the first place. It just has to bring back the old pen and give its features like fans. He may have eliminated some of his functionality from his stylus because many people were not using it, but at this rate, it makes more understanding to digest the stylus.
Now the time has come to adopt Qi2 (properly)
Ryan Hans / Android Authority
If Samsung should decide that his pen does not require a maximum upgrade, I have another advice: Give me Q2 wireless charging. Yes, I know that the Galaxy S25 series was technically ready to work with the Q2 and can work with magnets if properly put, but this is not enough for me. If I drop over $ 1,000 over a new phone, I want to see it supports the latest wireless charging standards.
Right now, the reason is not easy to add magnets to Samsung’s most expensive flagship – they do not play well with the pen. And that’s fine, this pen was here long before the beginning of Q2. However, if the pen does not play well with its features, is it not like it is like to take a price of someone’s price? I am getting worse for wireless charging and less active styles while paying more than ever before paying for a new flagship phone.
Show some love to battery and charging setup
Robert Triggs / Android Authority
Since most of my tips on the Galaxy S26 ultra have come into the pairs so far, they talk slightly about the phone’s battery and charging setup. Like most things, Samsung has not indicated the tasks working on the Galaxy S. Ultra in recent years, which means that it has 5,000 MAh cell and 45W wired charging that they were on the Galaxy S22 ultra – a phone that will be four years old when the Galaxy S2chers will be next.
Four years of phone years have a long time, and in reference to Taylor Swift, “everything has changed.” Silicon carbon batteries are appearing on more and more devices, with relatively Tine Small One Plus 13T pack packing 6,260mAh cell behind its 6.32 -inch display and offers 6,000 mAh cell in the flagship One Plus 13 boot. Therefore, for Samsung to say that 5,000 MAH is good enough, it seems to be minimal.
Unfortunately, 45W wired charging is no longer as impressive as it did, and the USB-C is still messed up. One Plus regularly sends its phones with 80W charger in the box, and even Motorola is pushing 68W Turb power to its latest Razr ultra. Both are quite quick to run the Galaxy S25 ultra circles and bring you back to your feet, even if you need specific chargers for all three devices.
Will Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra there?
Joe Mark / Android Authority
As much as the sun will come tomorrow, there will be a Galaxy S26 ultra. Samsung has used a mankar for more than five generations in the Galaxy S and Galaxy Note Lineup, and it is difficult to see if it is changing. In fact, with the special treatment of Samsung to his ultra, I want to say that this is the safest prerequisite for the entire galaxy series.
However, if Samsung turns away from its ultra-tear flagship, this Pixel will overcome premium space for rivals like the 9 Pro XL or iPhone 16 Pro Max-is still an unimaginable choice. I think Samsung is probably risking its control over this class, especially when the Galaxy S25 ultra -auto pilot felt like a launch, but this is another day’s debate.
Knowing that the Galaxy S26 ultra is definitely on its way, we know nothing more. However, we can sneak on it when we think the phone can be launched based on previous packaged events. Here is when Samsung launches his last few Galaxy S -line -up:
- Samsung Galaxy S. 25 – Announced January 22, 2025
- Samsung Galaxy S 24 – Announced on January 17, 2024
- Samsung Galaxy S3 – Announced on 1st February 2023
If this is anything, we should expect the launch date at the end of January or early February next year. This may change, however, with Qualcomm it is widely expected to launch its next flagship chasset in late September, before its usual October window.
Should you wait for the Galaxy S26 Ultra?
Ryan Hans / Android Authority
Although it was very easy to say that there would be a Galaxy S26 ultra, the more difficult question is whether you wait to buy it or not. At this point in 2025, we are far from both the Galaxy S22 and the Galaxy S26 launches as we will get, so it is as if it was dropped in a pond and deciding which path you want to swim.
If you are a strong swimmer (ER, your phone is in good shape), then you may be waiting for it and when it is finally announced when the Galaxy S26 ultra is raised. You can also wait until we find more solid rumors and leaks and then instead decide to catch the current Galaxy S25 ultra. If your phone is on your last legs, it may be time to upgrade. It is very easy to find a good deal on one of Samsung’s existing flagships, and it will save you to expect that when it comes to starting a cookie cutter.
You can also see outside the Samsung ecosystem at Pixel 9 Pro XL (99 in Amazon), which brings Google Wii Flair and excellent image processing table, or with the completion of a large battery, sharp charging, and beautiful blue leather in One Plus 13 (99 899.99 in One Plus). Then once again, they will soon find both of them, for the next generation upgrade.
