    Dhu Bhutani / Android Authority

I am an Android and Pixel fan who has been heaving the megasaf as the best and most useful smartphone devices since cut bread-USB-C to stay in the metaphor. So when Q2 was announced with a signal of compatibility behind the Maggaaf, I was in a fool. Finally – the end! – I will be able to sink into a large ecosystem of accessories and use it on my pixel phones.

But the announcement of Q2 came and went, and weeks, months and years, without any Android phone standards added. Then the first phone with the built -in Q2 charging and magnet compatibility came to the HMD Skyline, which had little effect in addition to the “first market” claim. Google released its Pixel 9 series with Good I ‘First Jin Qi, who left the 2024 Roll in 2025, with me still waiting for my thumbs to be “finally” of Qi -2! Moment

There was not much change in the early 2025. I thought that the Samsung Galaxy S25 series would take us to the garbage age, and when the phones are ready for Q2, they don’t have a built -in magnet compatibility I really want to Want. Instead, you have to buy a magnetic matter, which really solves this problem without resolving (I will go to “why” later). Similarly, OnePlus 13 uses a magnetic case to mobilize its proprietary air vocal wireless charging ecosystem, and Oppo Find X8 series operates with the same strategy.

In this context it is easy to lose hope. I was starting to think that it was done for 2025, and that I would have to wait for 2026 to see Qi -2’s big moment on Android. But look, Google is less likely to bring innovation to hardware spinachs, possibly preparing an unexpected surprise: Qi 2 on Pixel 10. And if that proves true, you will see me playing Shia la beef claps in real life for a few minutes. Why is it here

Google Pressure to adopt Qi 2 by adopting Q2

Rita El Khuri / Android Authority

Android brands have been fighting on a small margin on special sheets for years, and no one wants to be left behind. If the OnePlus upgrades to the latest processor, Samsung will follow it, and if Xiaomi accelerates his compensation, Oppo will move forward. It took many years to get the first under -display fingerprint scanner, but now almost all Android phones are with them. The same happened with high adaptive refresh rate on display, parasope camera, etc. There is only a little snowball in making snowfall, but waiting for the snooper is the most difficult part.

Now we are seeing this change with silicon carbon batteries, and I hope we will see it for Qi 2 soon. If Google, Android’s face and brand face exposure (especially in the US market), really added complete Qi2 compatibility and created an environmental system of magnet -friendly “pixels” accessories, it will definitely launch Qi -2, magnets, and “Magnets, and Magnets.” Reviews, YouTube videos, podcasts, advertising – everything will be mentioned in pixels, and it will be on everyone to follow.

For this, every other brand should be pressured to include Qi2 in their forthcoming flagship, even if Q2 was not already part of them, accelerate their plans. What was ever, the sheet of the sheet was “well” feature, if it disappeared, it would become a real pill point. And no brand wants additional opportunities and people who do not want to buy their phones.

The thing we are probably looking at with Pixel 10 is the snobball that begins with the snow, and I am here for it.

Built -in magnet compatibility creates all differences for Qi 2

    Dhu Bhutani / Android Authority

I am clumsy and I am the first person to prosecute all my phones, so why am I so strictly strictly against the idea of the phones ready for Q2 with a magnet brought by cases? Well, it’s a matter of thought in my opinion.

When the metal row used by the magnets is not made in the phone, Qi 2 becomes an extra: it is not taken seriously by accessories makers who believe (rightly) that not all users will be interested in magnetic accessories because they may not know that their phones are compatible.

We have seen it with the Galaxy S25 series, where the majority of S25 -case makers chose non -magnetic issues and offered only one or two magnetic powers. Meanwhile, most of the meg saffron accessories are still being created for iPhone users and are being marketed, even though they are also compatible with the Galaxy S25 and its Certification Certification. You and I, the Gaxes that understand tech, will know that we can buy or stand a megasaf charger and use it with a magnetic case on our Galaxy S25 ultra, but not everyone will. And I think it is detrimental to both the Environmental System and Android impression among users.

When magnetism is an integral part of the phone, it cannot be ignored by case and device makers.

When the magnet is made in the phone, it is an integral part of it. Advertising will mention it, buyers will be familiar with it, and this feature is not an extra, given. The case makers will make sure that most of their models offer to create a copy of the phone’s setup, and you and I will have a big choice in terms of compatible case colors and prices. In addition, it opens up a whole world to adopt Android’s Lovir Laurel, making its accessories, making different phones, or adding Android phones compatible with photos and marketing of their products. Basically, look at the early years of megasaf on the iPhone and paste that Android, though probably on a small scale. (It is a well -known fact that iPhone buyers pay more prices for accessories than Android owners, so the equipment companies meet them more and more.)

It is without mention, of course, the small proportion of users who prefer to keep their phone low and if the magnetic setup is built -in, they can only benefit from the features of Q2.

Qi2- Ready is like slapping metal colors on the phone and calling this Magaf. This is not the same.

That is why I think the simple Q2 ready certification is not enough. This is basically the same thing as slapping a cheap metal color on the phone and calling this megasaf. This is not the same.

And why Magnit? Well, because they align the Q2 wireless charger to charge potentially effectively, and even the simplicity of Snap On and Snap Off to add accessories to your phone is unparalleled. Neither plugin, nor clipping, nor clamping, nor holding. Only magnets. There is a whole environmental system of wallets, tripods and stands, pop sockets, outdoor camera lights, microphones, and united magnetic synchronous accessories, and it opens the door to the metal array according to a specific meg-saf- and Q2. I want for my pixel phones, and I want it for all Android phones.

I say, or bring magnets to the same punkman …
